Helpful annotated word list
Author has an impressive list of regional Spanish compilations. As a language learner, he's clearly analytical and a good listener. That said, this is mostly an annotated word list, which is helpful, but not exactly what I was looking for. Shame on me for not paying more attention to the preview. Having spent a ton of time searching out text PLUS audio, I'd say this author's approach could be super if he enlisted native speakers for a cd to accompany the text. Perhaps add a few stories and conversations. IMO, this would require native speakers to illustrate the regional sounds, as most adult language learners will generally only approximate L2 accents and intonation.

Great Introductory Book
This book provides a great introduction to the basics of Spanish and some common Chilenismos. It was not what I was expecting in terms of going in depth of the language, but it is great if you are looking for an introduction.

Missing translation
The translation of the intended meanjng is spot on, however, it is missing the literal translation of the phrase or saying. That is a HUGE part of understanding the sarcasm, humor, insult or praise hidden in Chilean slang.
