Hario Fretta V60 Iced Coffee Maker, Black, 20 oz

I drink hot decaf and my husband prefers cold regular coffee. So, until buying this product, my husband resorted to buying iced coffee each morning. In order to save some money and time, we tried this iced coffee maker...SO GLAD THAT WE DID!! Having a quick and easy way to brew some iced coffee each morning has been a major help for us!It works perfectly! The instructions are not in English, but the pictures and common sense make using it very easy. Clean up is simple: I just rinse each item.Overall, an excellent, easy product that makes cold coffee that does not taste watered-down.

My unit arrived earlier than expected direct from Japan and double boxed. I purchased this as a graduation present for an Art and Design School major, so price was less of an issue than elegant design. As far as I can tell, the difference from the standard model is that the ice insert extends above the top of the flask so that more ice is available to cool the drip coffee.

I don't usually like iced coffee. However, since I purchased this I cannot stop drinking it. This is the best iced coffee I have tasted. It is very easy to use and clean. However the ratios work with this, the coffee comes out extraordinary. I use 30 ml of ground coffee and it seems to be just the right proportion. When drinking this coffee the natural flavors come out of the bean in similar ways to the middle heat section of hot coffee. Highly recommend this for a new addition to your enjoyment of coffee.

Everything by Hario is awesome. I roast my own coffee and when I brew with the Hario it gets the flavor only this system can get. Ice coffee is made a bunch of ways but this system captures the flavor like no other. It is fast easy to clean and makes just enough for a few cups. I can also use it to make hot coffee too. A nice pour over kettle helps and a weight scale that measures volume but 1ml = 1g. Hario has nice videos on youtube if you need instructions. They are all in japanese like the manual but there is always a nice lady to show you excactly what to do.

It's a little small (20 oz max), and the glass is kind of thin, but overall, this is exactly what I was looking for.The plastic pieces fit together perfectly, and will work great in a bigger carafe.I was a little alarmed that the hole in the pour-over was so big, and that actual true cone filters (the pointy ones) are real hard to find, but there are pictures of instructions for correct folding of the square bottom cone filters, and even though the pour-over hole is quite big, the filter keeps the water on the coffee for a perfect amount of time.As a matter of fact, since I make one cup at a time (fresh ground) in a pour-over every morning, I have to report that the Ethiopian coffee I have been a little disappointed in was truly excellent iced.Now my downer, why is there no American company making a product like this? I mentioned the pictures in the instructions - well, that is the only part of them that is legible (didn't really need instructions, just wanted to see what they had to say about cleaning products, i.e. dishwasher safe? microwavable?).The pamphlet (and most of the print on the box) are ALL Chinese! Doesn't effect the usage, so the loss of a start is for the mental anguish. OK - I'm over it! Great product!

I was looking for something that could make good tasting iced coffee without having to wait for it to chill. I decided to give this a try and I'm glad I did. The coffee tastes great and it comes out cold. The only complaint would be that it doesn't make a lot at a time. It's really not a big deal though. I usually end up transferring the carafe to another container and filling it up two or three times each go.

Great technique. really brings out the fruityness of lighter roasts.

Was a big hit for Christmas. Nice quality, fast shipping and arrived in perfect shape. I recommend this item for those looking for a nice way to make ice coffee with out a big machine taking up space.
