For the Non-Tourist Tourist!
I had my first trip to Italy planned with someone who had already been there and had seen the major tourist sites. I'm not a big tourist and am not a fan of crowds and lines. Corinna's book was insightful and invaluable as I attempted to navigate the logistics of the trip, which was planned in just a few weeks. Her book gave me the courage and resources to leave my comfort zone when choosing places to stay (not a hotel, like I usually would have done) selecting things to do outside the normal tourist experiences, and ordering food and drink. It was a fabulous trip and I feel like her book was a crucial part of the adventure. I can't wait to go back to Italy! Corinna, I need a book on Naples and Apuglia!

Fabulously helpful!
What an incredible resource this book has been! There were so many choices, but I kept coming back to this book, and Iโm so happy I did. Itโs dripping with amazing tidbits of history, and most of all, it tells you all of the fabulous (but not well known) things to see and do in Rome that would take you YEARS to learn. This author holds nothing back. Highly recommend!

Perfect Travel Guide!
I love this series! The author provides such incredible advice, coupled with stories, history, and commentary that is rich, clever, and so helpful! I am traveling to Rome soon, and this book and the sister guide to Italy are exactly what I needed to be prepared and excited for the trip. Thank you, Corinna Cooke, for your wonderful books and guidance!

Interesting and full of fun things to do!
Before going to Italy for 8 days, I bought Corinna's Glam Italia series on Kindle and read most of the Rome and Florence books before our departure. While on the trip, they were very helpful to pull out and refer to. We weren't there long enough to do much outside of the big tourist attractions but reading about the "behind the scenes" things to do in the cities has inspired us to return soon to focus on those excursions. I've traveled all over the world (35+ countries) and lived in 4 countries but still learned good travel tips from Corrina. I will admit that I almost set the first book aside shortly in because I felt she's quite derisive toward Christianity and the United States but I'm glad I didn't. Travel books can be quite dry but Corrina is a good author and adds little tidbits and stories that make for more interesting reading but if you are an American Christian who loves their country, her disdain can detract from the enjoyment of an otherwise great book series.

A Must Read if Traveling to Italy (Rome)
I first learned about Glam Italia in an article about Corinna Cooke's first published book - "How To Travel Italy: Secrets To Glamorous Travel (On A Not So Glamorous Budget)". We purchased this book prior to a trip to Italy and found it very readable and informative. It's nice to know that Corinna has already experienced many things and places she writes about and gives you information she has gathered over her trips and guided trips to this beautiful country. You can tell she loves traveling and is knowledgeable in many aspects, not to mention, having fun with her clients. She uses professional tour guides and transportation and speaks highly of their knowledge and friendliness. We also purchased her second book "101 Fabulous Things to Do in Rome..." and look forward to acquiring the next two. In addition, we downloaded both books on Kindle to have with us as we traveled. Lastly, Corrina's newsletters are full of tips, new places she explores and recommendations. Her books and online store are exclusively on Amazon.com. Highly recommend!

How to love Rome - follow this guide!
If you want to experience Rome less as a tourist and more of a traveler ... that is, not trying to squeeze in only the major sites like the Colosseum and St. Peter's, but rather savoring the best of Rome's neighborhoods, out-of-the-way sites, foods, etc., -- this is such a helpful guide. I love the author's passion for Rome, and we followed her advice and had an amazing trip.

Wonderful tips on making the most of a visit to Rome
We have been to Rome many times and love it! Corinna shows the same love and enthusiasm for this magical place. She offers great tips on how to navigate the many sites both major historic sites and wonderful out-of-the way treasures. We learned about places that we have not visited which, of course, is so typical of Rome. There is so much to see. We canโt wait to go back and use this book as our guide to discover new special places. She really connected with us. Her love for Rome and Italy is the same way my husband and I feel about and Rome and Italy. It is a special place. The people, the culture, the many historic treasures to see, the food, the wine, and on and on. This book captures all of this and more! And it is a delightful read!

I ALMOST feel like I have already been to Rome!
This book opens up Rome in such a friendly, conversational way. I love the back stories of each place, especially the soap opera dramas among the leaders of ages gone by. We leave in 3 days, and I just canโt wait to see this beautiful place in person. Because of this book, I secured tickets to the Dumo Aurea. I would never have known about 90% of the options just waiting for us without this book. Thank you. We will be posting on instagram soon!

What an awesome book!
Could not recommend this book more highly. We are seasoned travellers to Italy and Rome and have over the years collected and read so many guide books but this one beats them all. Corinne's passion, knowledge and enthusiasm simply jumps off the page. She is like your best friend chatting away to you. We went to 3 new places based on her book recommendations and I enjoyed each place all the more from having read Corinne's notes in advance.Simply a must purchase for anyone who wishes to dig a little deeper than the Spanish Steps & Trevi Fountain (lovely as they are) but at the same time does not want to be overwhelmed by reading the whole history of Rome over 2,000 years at a sitting.I have also purchased Corinne's book on Florence and really looking forward to reading it too.
