My driver shaft cracked to I purchased this new shaft and installed the old driver head. Works great and inexpensive way to get back in the game. I left it stock length (48”) to improve by swing speed.

My husband is the golfer in the family, so this review is from him. While the performance of the shaft is dependent on the skill level of the user, it has worked well for him. He really likes the styling of it. He has the regular flex and says it reacts well with his swing. He would definitely recommend it to others.

I rebuilt an older Titleist driver using this shaft. I first learned of the Smoke shafts on two brand new Titleist hybrids. I hit them so we’ll, I decide to rebuild my older 915 D2 driver. I bought an aftermarket Titleist tip and put everything together. I have a TS-1 driver but it’s on a senior flex shaft. I felt I could still hit the right regular flex shaft if I could find the right one. The Smoke shaft was perfect. It has a higher kick or flex point which lets me swing harder without losing my drives to the right. As note, I’m a 63 year old male who is right-handed. The actually lengthened the new club by about 3/4”. I’m hiring it long and solid. Quite pleased with the outcome. The shaft I bought is 60g, low spin. It’s stiff enough for my swing speed yet easy to control (hit more fairways). I love it. It can be bought in an 80g model too. Quite a bit stiffer though.

It is always difficult to buy a shaft for a club sight unseen. But, I am very pleased with it.

This shaft arrived on time and exactly as specified. I swung it in the lab 4x and it didn’t work for my mechanics. I forgot to do a return within the window… called Ryan at oldtown and while he was unwilling to trust me and take the item back and reimburse me… disappointed after 3 years of patronage. BUT, I had a conversation with Ryan and between this and another issue, he went above and beyond and sold me a much nicer, tour grade shaft that fit my playing style after chatting a while, and gave me w 30% discount and then had to eat the shipping costs himself because of my weird address.Old Town has the best prices on select brands on the entire internet, including amazon… and if you take the time to have w conversation without demanding a result you will be rewarded hugely by this small business.

I recently purchased a GBB driver with a regular shaft because of my slices. This was based on a comment from a trainer because my old driver had a stiff shaft and I sliced it a mile. It didn't help. I ordered this shaft and put it on my driver, learned to swing the club correctly (fixed the face and path), and my drives went from around 210 to pushing 250. I am not saying all my distance came from the shaft but it definitely seemed to help me. From what I understand (and I am not a trainer, just an average golfer) it offers low spin which did cut down on my slices. Note: I am not saying go out and buy this shaft and it will help you hit the ball further and straighter I am saying it did help me. In my opinion get fitted for the shaft you are going to be using because it will absolutely make a difference.

Picked up 15+ yards for under $100. What golfer wouldn’t do that? If your ball flight is high and spinny. Get this
