Classic Clymer quality
Clymer has always been the go to for motorcycle manuals. This one is right in line with the rest. Full of information, anything you would need for the motorcycle is in the book. Whenever I get a motorcycle one of the first things I do is buy a Clymer manual for the bike. They are the standard for motorcycle manuals.

you already know; value, piece of mind...
home mechanics already know the value of this brand, so this is for those who are looking for a gift - these are great value and worthy of the money...

Harley davidson 2002 sportster 1200 manual
The manual contains information on trouble shooting procedure, wiring diagrams and much more. I needed this manual for the wiring diagram for my sportster. I can't wait to get started.

Excellent Manual
Bought a used Sportster without an owners manual. I debated whether to just buy an owners manual from H-D or the Clymer manual and I don't regret going for the Clymer book. It is extremely thorough and covers so much more info than any motorcycle owners manual that I have ever had. Besides all the normal things you would expect in a typical owners manual, this book has very detailed, yet easy to follow, maintenance and troubleshooting information that should cover anything you would ever need to do to your bike. Lots of pictures and illustrations to explain every detail. I am not a mechanic at all, but with this book I feel very confident in working on my bike myself.

Clmyer Harley Davidson XL/XLH Sportster 1986-2003 Repair Manual
A simple clutch cable adjustment was not even addressed in this manual. The manual goes into great detail about adhusting the clutch, but nothing about adjusring the clutch cable adjustment nut. There is a picture of the adjustment nut, but that is all. I keep finding myself going on line to the Harley Davidson Forum to fill in the details. The photos are good quality and plentiful. The spec. charts are very good. I'm new to motor cycles and wanted a simple photo or diagram identifyingt the various parts of the bike (sort of an overall introduction); this book did not provide that feature. I don't know if other manuals provide this or not. It seems like there is a lot of jumping around in the book to learn various repair proceses. Again, I'm not sure how other motorcycle manuals are structured. It does make for good reading, though.

I've got the service manual and it's great but this Clymer manual is a great addition
I have a '92 XLH 1200. I've got the service manual and it's got everything but this Clymer manual is a great addition. Sometimes it's nice to have 2 references, especially when things get confusing. If you work on your bike you probably need this book as it's got all the specs and torque values, diagrams or photos on nearly every page and it covers everything you'll ever want to do. Particularly nice is the Troubleshooting section in the beginning of the book. It's long and covers a ton of potential "won't start" problems plus a whole bunch of other stuff. Don't give the price a second thought; it's worth every penny.Happy riding!
