I purchased this laptop bag a couple of years ago when the price was almost $100, and I continue to be impressed with it on a regular basis. The material this bag is made of shows virtually no sign that it's ever been used. I love the minimalist design and the ability to only take the essentials you really need. If you are looking for a bag with more compartments, bottle holders, etc. then this isn't for you. There are hundreds of bags out there that offer massive storage, but this bag excels at being functional, comfortable, and stylish.Functional:Compartments are well thought out and your laptop/tablet is well-protected with top-notch padding and being "suspended" off the ground when you put the bag down. Walking on busy streets or in crowded conventions is easy with the slim profile and you don't knock people over when you turn sideways. Protection is top-notch, the bag can easily be wiped down, and nothing bounces around when you walk.Comfortable:The weight is distributed evenly across your back and the shoulder straps are very comfortable. With the bag I had before this, I used to have to stop in airports, etc. and just get the bag off of my back for a while as my back and shoulders would start to ache. With this bag, I can walk around with it for very long periods of time and have no discomfort at all.Stylish:I am certainly not one to get too preoccupied with style, but at the same time I wanted a bag that said "Professional" rather than "Possible rock climber". I would feel just as comfortable wearing this bag with a suit as I would with business casual (I don't wear suits for work, but if I did, at least I wouldn't have to get a new bag!).Bottom Line:I couldn't be happier with this bag and would buy it again in a minute (even at the higher price I originally paid for it). Brenthaven will always be my first stop when looking for these types of products.

Five star rating, it seems very well built (and brenthaven's lifetime guarantee does brings some peace of mind), and it comes with almosst everything you'd want: There's enough space for a 15'' laptop, and the padding seems to be more than enough. It also has a file pocket (you might want to get a folder to keep your files from wrinkling), an Ipad/tablet pocket, a key hoder, 3 "pen pockets" another large (er) pocket for small stuff, a front zippered pocket which fits my moleskin notebook perfectly, one phone pocket and a "secret" small zippered pocket on the back.Keep in mind: this is a really slim backpack, so you wont be able to fit larger items inside. It's clearly designed for a laptop, some documents and your daily gadgets. Don't think it will fit your gym clothes (maybe it will, if that means shorts and a tshirt) and sneakers.I would've liked it if there were a dedicated charger brick pocket, but that really doesn't take that much away from the backpack.UPDATE June 2, 2016:After over three years of daily use and abuse (I do mean daily, I never leave home without this pack because I am forced to have my laptop with me at all times), a small section of the seam on the upper portion of the right strap gave away, leading to a little fabric tear. I sent ONE email with a picture showing the issue, and they offered to send a replacement bag. A couple of emails later, I have a new pack (they haven't even charged me for the shipping). No hassle.When I was transferring the contents to the new bag I noticed how good the old one looks compared to the new one. I am attaching a side-by-side picture, and challenge you to chose which one is the old one. It will not be easy.Brenthaven has made a lifetime customer of me, when i finally decide I want a new bag, it will be a Brenthaven again.

Great backpack. This pack is one in a very limited space of backpacks meant for people who want to move around with their laptop & accessories but not much else. That's why I bought it and it doesn't disappoint. What I like:* The pack is really lightweight* Physical size was smaller than I imagined from pictures* Laptop centric: Tons of padding in the main laptop pocket* Thought was put into the design. The laptop pocket is accessed without having to open the main flap.There are a few things I would change about this pack if I was on the Brenthaven team, but nothing worth noting.The only shortcoming of this pack that is noteworth is the "secret" pocket on the back of the pack (it rests against your body when you have the pack on). The idea is wonderful, and something I really liked about my last backpack, the Dakine Terminal. Having a secret stash pocket is a great place to put things you don't want lost or stolen while you're traveling. The problem with the Brenthaven version of this pocket is that it's too small. It doesn't fit a passport. This completely negates the pockets usefulness to me. I would generally keep my ID on my person in my wallet, but stashing a large, clunky passport in a secret pocket in your backpack is great. The worst thing is, the decision to make the pocket so small seems to have been done to save materials. There is plenty of room on the back of the pack for a larger pocket, but it just happens to be way to shallow. If you look at the pocket from the outside without putting your hand in you will likely assume it is in fact deeper.All in all this pack is great. Even the unforgivably small secret stash pocket isn't enough to warrant cutting the rating, because there simply aren't enough backpacks that cater to this market.Final note: This backpack is NOT for you if...* You are a student that needs to cary any sort of textbook. (Even one wouldn't fit in this pack)* You want to carry anything that's not of a flat and rectangular shape. (There's enough room to fit a paperback book for going on a flight, but that's about as thick as you can manage)

This is a well design backpack for carrying a laptop and a few accessories.There are trade-offs. This is not for bulky items.After a year an a half the bottom strap started to fray on me.Still happy while it lasted.Update:After contacting Brenthaven, I received a Product Code for a New replacement Backpack.This is amazing customer service on the part of Brenthaven.There is such a demand for this backpack online, you have to be notified by Email as to its availability.It is very refreshing when a company honors its warranty and stands by its product.

I've had this bag for two years. The zipper broke and some stitching got ripped. When I've contacted the company to claim the lifetime warranty, they indicated that they don't cover these issues. Very disappointing experience. Will not purchase from Brenthaven again

This bag is way smaller then it looks I got it for college and I will be hard pressed to fit anything in this other then a single book and my laptop. and because it was so expensive I cant afford to buy another.This bag seems like it was only meant to be used to carry a laptop and a few pens, so if you have to carry more then that look for something else.

This bag is the most uncomfortable bag i have ever used. I walked from the security gate to the flight gate with a laptop in it and both my shoulders were hurting. I am not sure what is wrong with it but I am no longer using it. Terrible "human factors" design.
