NeilMed Piercing Aftercare Cleanser is a simple but highly effective aftercare product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do without unnecessary additives or irritation. The biggest strength is that it’s just sterile saline. No fragrance, no alcohol, no harsh antiseptics, so it’s extremely gentle on fresh piercings. When sprayed, it gives a clean, fine mist that’s easy to apply without needing to touch or rotate the jewelry too much, which helps reduce the risk of introducing bacteria. It’s also very consistent. It helps rinse away crusting and dried fluid as well. In terms of comfort, it doesn’t sting or dry out the skin. Instead, it supports a clean environment for the piercing to heal naturally. The main downside is It’s a bit more expensive than other options, but the tradeoff is sterility and convenience. Overall, it’s a reliable, low irritation staple for piercing aftercare that works.

I’ve tried a few piercing aftercare sprays, and this one is by far my favorite. The fine mist is super gentle and doesn’t blast your piercing like a pressure washer. It’s just a clean, soothing spray with no burning or stinging at all. My piercing stayed much less irritated, and healing seemed smoother once I switched to this. I also love that it’s just sterile saline with no weird additives or fragrances. The spray bottle works from any angle, which is surprisingly helpful when you’re trying to spray an ear piercing without becoming a contortionist. Definitely a must-have for new piercings.

My intent with sharing these photos of my diabetic goldendoodle’s tail suddenly started turning necrotic (those photos I did not share). My dog’s vet removed the just beyond where the necrosis portion of my beloved, dog’s tail to expose a healthy tip of his tail. I used this NeilMed Piercing Aftercare, Fine Mist as part of the care and and treatment routine when changing my dog’s tail bandage daily, as the rinse and flush before applying the other treatment before re-bandaging/wrapping the tail. I also informed my dog’s veterinarian about how I was using it and the vet was delighted about my wound care process and supported my process fully! My beloved dog’s tail was healing beautifully with no further necrosis, so far. This was about mid to late tail healing journey. ——————————————————————— Now back to my the actual review! Using this Fine Mist Sprayer has most definitely helped new piercings heal much more smoothly and quicker! This Sterile Saline Fine Mist is incredibly gentle and it will spray if help upside or upside down, without breaking a sweat! It does not sting, or irritate but it has quickly aided in reducing piercing irritation. I also use this Sterile Saline Fine Mist, for cleaning surface, or slightly deeper surface cuts, scrapes, and abrasions for myself because it this works so much better for irrigation of wounds, and it promotes quicker healing, with minimal to no visible scarring. I’m not concerned about scars showing or not showing, it is just something I noticed while using it as part of my personal and pet first aid for the past 6 years. Don’t let the size and weight fool you. Sterile Saline weighs very little and a little of the fine mist spray can truly go a long way. I keep this NeilMed Sterile Saline Piercing Aftercare, Fine Mist stocked for external use only, as part of my Personal and Emergency Response Trained Volunteer First Aid Kits. Additionally, I also keep this Fine Mist Sterile Saline in my Pet First Aid because it also works well for treating and cleaning irritated pet skin, and surface abrasions without irritation and without the burning feeling. So yes, I use the NeilMed Sterile Saline, Piercing Aftercare, Fine Mist for it’s primary intended use but I consistently use it, as one might say…off label as part of my first aid care for people and pets and I always recommend having this particular on hand in anyone’s home and first aid for people and pets!!!

As someone who just up and decided to get 4 advance cartilage piercings at once (Tragus, Connch, Flat and, Helix). This spray has helped tremendously!! I was given hypochlorous acid spray by my piercer but it caused irritation and intense throbbing. So I used this pray instead and the throbbing stopped. My ear has never swelled or been in pain other than first day. I clean my piercing 3 times a day. I will lessen that as it heals but so far this has help keep them clean and pain free. Once I feel a slight soreness I do a quick spray and it goes a way in about 5-10 minutes. I know this is not a pain reliever but it helps me with soreness soo. But i absolutely love this spray and will continue to use.

First ever piercing, I used this everyday for a long while and I never got an infection. I was so scared because of all the stories I’ve heard, but this absolutely saved me. I would also use it to sanitize new piercings before I put them in. Works amazing and I love the nozzle.

Worth every penny. Works great and helped my daughter’s infection that developed. Cleared it up in less than 3 days! We would use is 4x a day and it helped with itchiness, pain, and irritation/redness! Only complaint my daughter has is that it’s too cold!

I gave this item 4 stars because at times it’s difficult to get it to spray. It’ll either just dribble out or do nothing. A pump option would be better in my opinion. That said, the product itself worked great on my ear piercings. It promoted fast healing and prevented soreness. I also wish there was a window to see how much is left. The only way to tell it’s empty is when it stops spraying completely. This is also the only bottle of 100% saline. The others include zinc. Don’t know if that’s good or bad but my piercing professional sells and recommends this brand and zinc is the only difference I see between brands.

Constantly rebuy this it is great for piercings I just spray dry off and go about my day it definitely soothes if you are hurting with your piercings and it lasts about 2 weeks to 2 months depending on how much you use it

Ich benutze das NeilMed NeilCleanse Piercing Aftercare Fine Mist jetzt schon eine Weile und bin wirklich mega zufrieden. Ich habe insgesamt 13 Piercings und kann daher echt gut vergleichen – und dieses Spray gehört für mich definitiv zu den besten Aftercare-Produkten, die ich bisher benutzt habe. Der Sprühnebel ist super fein und total angenehm, nichts brennt oder tut weh, selbst bei frischen oder empfindlichen Piercings. Seit ich das Spray regelmäßig benutze, heilen meine Piercings deutlich besser ab. Ich habe viel weniger Probleme mit Wildfleisch und bekomme auch kaum noch Krusten, was für mich ein riesiger Pluspunkt ist. Die Applikation ist richtig praktisch, weil man damit an wirklich jede Stelle kommt, auch an schwierigere Piercings. Man muss nichts anfassen oder rumdrücken, dadurch ist das Reinigen viel schneller, einfacher und vor allem hygienischer. Ich habe es mir inzwischen sogar schon nachbestellt, weil ich es einfach nicht mehr missen möchte. Für mich ein absolutes Must-have für die Piercing-Pflege und eine klare Empfehlung.
