Gillott 303 Classic Pump Pen, use any ink, even India ink and drawing paints, slip nibs and feeds in and out, large reservoir

I didn’t think I was going to like this pen at first. The first day I had it, I couldn’t get it to work properly. But day 2 found the ink flowing more reliably and now it’s like using the Gillotte 303 with a dip pen. Give it time to break in and you’ll have a very useful inking tool. Happy I purchased it.

Despite my best efforts and considerable dilution of the ink, I could absolutely not get this to work with India ink apart from simply taking the nib out and dipping it straight in the ink, invalidating the entire premise of buying this pen and turning it into a glorified nib holder.Save yourself money and frustration and buy the nib + some others and a nib holder instead, because that's the only way you can use India ink and it's not that big of a deal to simply redip your pen every once in a while once you get used to it. I will add that the nib runs out of ink fairly quickly when flexed all the way, but when unflexed, it basically writes forever.I can't vouch for the efficacy of this pen with any other ink than India, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and give 3 stars.
