Build quality and intonation.
I orederd this guitar as a back up instrument. I am almost 86 yeras old and play very little these days due to quite severe Osteoartritis. However I play when I can and enjoy it. The instrument arrived very safely packed and it is extremely well built and a pleasure to look at. I had read that others found the action low. It is certainly very comfortable to play up to the third fret but when I moved up the dusty end to play in Bb or Eb it was a little high for me. This may be the guage of strings. Because of Artritis I use Elixir .010 to .047 Nanoweb coated strings and will be changing to these in a day or so. The instrument is fitted with two strap buttons which is important to me since I always use a strap. I would advise begginers to do likewise so as to be able to concentrate on fretting without the left hand also balancing the instrument. I am very impressed indeed with the sound quality but will reserve saying anymore about this until I have changed to much lighter strings. This guitar is much more than an entry level instrument and I would certainly be happy to stand up and play it in a folk club as an accompanist (I can't sing and play at the same time!). I say this having owned and played several Martin giutars in my younger days. It is a full size instrument! A bargain at the price.

Great guitar for the price.
Out of the box it looked and sounded great. I tweaked the action a little lower and it’s now perfect. For the money it’s amazing. The solid mahogany top gives it a sound that is resonant and bright. This would be an ideal beginner's guitar or for someone, like me, to compliment more mellow guitars when recording.

My first guitar
I really love this guitar — it’s my very first one. But a couple of days ago, I discovered that it has a flaw, and a very noticeable one at that. Every time I pick it up to play, I can’t help but see it. Even though I bought it at a discounted price, that doesn’t make up for the discomfort this flaw brings me, because after all, it’s a work of art!

Lovely guitar.
Arrived promptly. Packaged very well. Well set up straight out of the box. Loves much better in reality- photos don't do it justice. Sounds great.

Superb guitar
Stunned by the quality if finish and sound of this guitar. After a horror story with my last guitar purchase where the action was so high it was unplayable, this was perfect right out of the box. Also, incredibly good value at this price point.

Was the right guitar delivered?
I consider myself an intermediate guitar player, who has learnt from playing electrics. My favourite guitar I own, is a Fender Jaguar. I tried a few years ago to span into acoustics, when I was offered a second-hand £199 guitar for £50. It’s an Epiphone and I found the action above the 5th fret on that guitar to be quite high, for my office worked-out nimble fingers! Reading the positive reviews for the Fender CD-60S and discovering it had a C-shape, and the fact it was reduced from £179 to £159, I thought I would give it a go. So, first impressions: It shipped in an Amazon cardboard box, within was a Fender cardboard box. The guitar itself, was wrapped in foam padding. Included is also a set of Allen keys for adjustment, and the guitar has one of those anti-moisture silicon sachets inside. The guitar certainly looks nice! OK, so what first? – An Em chord strum of course! And also of course, the guitar has been de-tuned for shipping. So, ten minutes looking for my acoustic tuner. Guitar is now tuned and back to the Em chord strum. Well, it’s got a very bright tone! I recently had a go on a friends £500+ Taylor acoustic, and it sounded very similar. After playing several open chords, I though I’d go all experimental and try some single note playing. The first thing I noticed, is the incredible sustain (Spinal Tap moment!). Next, I played each note up the neck, individually. No dead or duplicate notes! After an hour or two of playing, I didn't have to retune it. It takes (at least for me), a while to get used to the neck shape from a D to a C from my other acoustic, might be a psychological thing, as my Fender Jaquar also has a C-shaped neck and I have no problem playing that. After having it for a few weeks I have yet to fault it. The only minor dis I have, is that the ‘pick-guard’ appears to be nothing more than just a sticker – Not a problem, and if it does become one, I am sure a cheap alternative can be found.

Guitare emballée dans 3 cartons + un film mousse. Donc bien protégée. Je reprends la guitare après 10 ans d’arrêt. Je suis plutôt satisfaite de la sonorité et de la jouabilité.

I bought this guitar to add a mahogany guitar to my small collection of acoustic guitars. Mahogany has a different tone than spruce or cedar that I wanted to experience. First the pros of the guitar: 1. The mahogany top has a stunning grain and color way better than the picture. 2. The tuners are really smooth and are the best I have used. 3. The action is the lowest from any guitar that I have bought and is very easy to play. 3. The sound, maybe I should have started with the sound ... really great! I love the sound deep and crystal clear and I should say loud. I am very impressed!!! Some flaws I found when checking the guitar: 1. On the inside of the guitar on the back wall I noticed a couple of glue drips that are not visible unless you look in the sound hole and back. 2. When the bridge was installed not all excess glue was wiped off and some tiny dried glue beads are visible on one side of the bottom of the bridge. 3. A tiny piece of white masking tape was at the neck of the guitar right at the sound whole that was varnished right over. I managed to scrape it off with a knife. The finishing flaws were minor so that I still give a 5 star rating. Overall I am more than impressed and I would buy this guitar again. The sound of the mahogany is special and I am very happy to be able to play and listen to this sound. Fender make great guitars! Thank you!

Se sabe que éste modelo es para personas de nivel intermedio pero eso no significa que Fender pierda la calidad. Estoy muy a gusto. Eso sí creo que tendré que ajustar el alma ya que se ven altas las cuerdas pero nada que alerte.
