Our Best Baby Shower Gift!
We received this quilt as a baby shower gift, and it has been without a doubt one of the best items we received, right up there with the ErgoBaby carrier! This was perfect to lay our boy on when he was an infant, and we have kept it on the living room floor ever since he was born. He just laid there when he was a few weeks old, and didn't notice the hanging toys for quite a while, but it was nice knowing that he had something to look at once his vision started to come into focus. I think he started to look at the hanging toys after a month or two, and then he started to interact with them a little bit, and then much more later on. There are 5 hanging toys and they are all interactive. One is a mirror on one side, 2 of them have a squeaky ball in them and squeak when squeezed, and one has a bell in it. The teddy bear that is hanging in the middle does not have anything inside it, but it can be pulled down with a retractable string and then when the baby lets go or eases up their grip on the bear, it will go back up vibrating. It's actually a lot of fun to do even as an adult. There is also one squeaky ball stitched into the quilt part; it's in the little blue cloud in the picture. Our son was never able to squeeze the squeaky objects enough to make it squeak on its own, but we did it for him and it would draw his attention to it and make him smile. He did notice the mirror on occasion, and the bell would rattle every now and then, but not much; the real prize for him was the teddy bear. He loved pulling that bear down and then seeing it/feel it retract back up. It's a wonderful cause and effect toy! The two support poles are able to be unfastened from the quilt with four quick-release plastic buckles for cleaning, but we never needed to clean it. The poles also serve to block the baby from rolling away, at least in one direction, for a short time, so that was handy for a little bit. The quilt does come in a plastic case with a handle, and thankfully, we kept it. We would often take this quilt to other folks house when we'd need someone to watch him, and it was great for that and appreciated by the babysitters. At 8 months, our boy doesn't really use this anymore because he is now on his stomach most of the time and crawling. It was great for the 8 months that we used it, but now we will pack it up and keep it for our next little one. I highly recommend this quilt, but of course, NOT for the insane prices that some have listed it for here. It normally runs around 50-60, so anything much more than that and I'd pass. You could get something like Infantino Twist and Fold Activity Gym, Vintage Boy that is actually affordable, and it will do the exact same thing. Best of luck!Oh yeah, the hanging toys can be removed and have a loop attached to them so you can hang them from other things if you want. The teddy bear is attached by a loop with velcro. If you have any questions about the quilt, just ask int he comments and I'll do my best to respond quickly.

Montage erfordert etwas Geschick
