VQ Retro Mini - DAB/DAB+ Digital Radio & Bluetooth Speaker

I purchased this as a joint Christmas gift for us both. He wanted a new radio for the kitchen, I wanted a bluetooth speaker and this does both. Easy to use, compact design means it fits snugly in any room and its lightweight enough to take with you. If mains power isnt available it takes just 4 AA batteries which are readily available and cheap which is handy if you are out and about and find your batteries go flat. AUX input means I can use it with my iPod, sound quality is good and easily fills the room, and the dual alarm is a handy feature. Its so good looking its now taking pride of place in the lounge so it looks like I will need to buy another for the kitchen!

It’s a neat size and shape with a good leaflet to tell you all you need to know. The first time I turned it on it scanned. The Time set itself. The radio played immediately and the sound was good, clear and sounded as if from a more expensive radio. The move from station to station was easy and instantly a good sound, no struggling. Love the shape of this radio. I used 4 batteries but will no doubt use mains. I think this is a good product and it came well packed and has the mains plug and an alternative 2 pin plug. I fitted the 3 pin plug easily. The carry strap looks like leather but may not be. It’s perfectly strong and does a great job. I used the antennae. Very pleased with this radio. Recommend.

Had to return a DAB Radio twice the price to a well known UK Store and bought this instead, I'm glad I did because it's very simple to use and storing preset stations couldn't be easier, there's a step by step guide if you get stuck. The sound quality is the best I've heard from a DAB Radio, the speaker is nicely built and gives great high and low end responses, there's a nice balance between the bass and treble. The radio is easily portable with a neat leatherette handle and the radio has a great, well built retro appearance. Mains or battery operated and you can charge USB devices from it.

Do not let the size give you any concerns about performance Excellent sound quality, Bluetooth function is slick and it has 30 pre set channels It is a plug and play delight Not often does something sound as good as it looks, no compromises to be made here. This little radio looks nice and it has lots of great features that I've struggled to find all together in one device. DAB Clock Radio, Bluetooth and a USB charger all in one attractive package. As a bedside radio it has the advantage of a fairly muted display, visible in daylight, but not too bright when you switch the lights off. The sound quality isn't great, it's a little muffled, but it's more than good enough for Radio 4 and the sturdy aerial helps achieve good reception - I haven't had any of the distortion I experience with my last DAB radio, yet music fans may be disappointed both by the quality of the speaker and bass. Bluetooth reproduction isn't great either but is it ever? . it doesn't have the quality construction or reassuring heft a Roberts, but at less than a quarter of the price I didn't expect it to be. Bought this for my mum and she loves it, has great sound quality and easy to use, It was also easy to tune in her favourite radio stations. Nice compact size to move to any room. You can put batteries in but we haven’t yet.

I'm really surprised at the good reviews on this product which, having done my homework, is why I bought it over others! I am SO disappointed! The sound on it is really tinny - even at a low level and the DAB reception is shocking! I have placed this in the exact same place as my old DAB radio and it not only finds way less stations but also cuts out on ones that I know have great signal - its like having an FM radio - in fact it is worse as my old FM one downstairs has better reception. The buttons are tacky and you have to push them really hard to get it going. Finally, it is for by my bed and you can't turn the backlight off so I have to cover it night after night or it lights the room up - even on at it most "dimmed". The only good thing - hence the one star is that it is relatively pretty - it is now going to be resigned to my bathroom so it can get occasional use - and I will bring back my old DAB radio - at least it works! I do not recommend to anyone that wants to listen to uninterrupted radio play!

Looks the part but a few things stop it being rated a 5. First star lost as other radios I've had for a similar price have had re-chargeable batteries. 2nd start lost for a few issues with it's operation (as I say it looks good and is good build quality). Biggest problem is that the button operations do not follow the instructions. Trying to programme favourite stations is a hit and miss affair with the radio either recording the pre set, or switching off, or going back to previous stations all while pressing the same sequence of buttons? Also, some of the button presses need to be so hard that the radio pushes back on my kitchen top so I have to use a second hand to change station/volume or push it back up against a wall. Lastly I would prefer the volume button to have been a central dial to turn rather than two buttons to press- for the reason above with the radio moving each time and because I've found it too easy to hit the wrong button and change channel by mistake.

Anzeige zu dunkel, seitlich nicht ablesbar. Empfang schlecht, kaum ein Radiosender funktioniert trotz ausgefahrener Antenne und obwohl es neben dem Fenster steht. Tonqualität für den Preis gut.

Ein super Radio mit vielen Funktionen. Die Beschreibung hörte sich schon sehr gut an und ich war sehr gespannt, ob es den Erwartungen entspricht. Das Radio kam ohne überflüssige Verpackung und auf dem Karton war das Design des Radios abgebildet. In meinem Fall das Herzchen-Design. Ich habe es für die Küche gekauft , weshalb es auch nicht so groß sein sollte. Die Größe ist perfekt. es sieht absolut toll aus und scheint gut verarbeitet zu sein. Auch das Anschließen war kein Problem. Stecker rein, anschalten und es startet sofort der Sendersuchlauf und auch die Uhrzeit stellt sich automatisch ein. Für die Größe hat es einen super Klang und auch ohne die Antenne auszuziehen sind die Sender klar und ohne rauschen. Ich kann dieses Radio nur wärmstens empfehlen und bei den vielen Designs ist bestimmt für jeden das passende dabei. Die Lieferung erfolgte übrigens sehr zügig und ohne Probleme. Bin absolut begeistert !!!

Bellissima, di eccellenti qualità e fattura, semplicissima da usare. Può funzionare sia a corrente elettrica, sia a batteria. Libretto di istruzioni in inglese e francese.
