Great homecare RN bag
I am a homecare RN and this bag is great compared to a messenger bag style. It makes it so I am not straining my shoulder and I am able to carry it so I disperse the weight evenly when I carry it as a backpack. This also allows me to carry other items I need to bring into the home as it frees up both my arms once positioned.

Durability and versatility are the most important to me
I just recently switched my specialty from ER to Home health. They gave me a bag but I've always preferred backpacks to lug things around. This backpack has my seal of approval in every pick, from durability, ease of use, comfort, maintains alignment with me, has plenty of storage capacity, I could use more vibrant color options but thats not a deal breaker. This product is fantastic. My only suggestion for the company that makes it would be to utilize more open space with customizable pockets to organize wound care materials and whatnot. I manage to fit my pt weight scale in the very back as it's the most cushioned so I felt it's safest back there, it fits well but the bulky extra padding that lines it makes it a lottle awkward, I still don't know what that padding is for. Im still a rookie in this field but with the added comfort of this being a micromanage product and the amount of versatility im very satisfied with this purchase.

Perfect for my needs
This backpack has been amazing for my job in Home Health Physical Therapy. I can fit everything that I need in this bag and still have a little space left. I love that it is anti microbial! Iโm a little bit of a germaphobe (not over the top, but I like to keep everything clean). I also have a barrier from this brand that I use under it. There would be a few things that I would add and a few small changes to this bag if I had the opportunity to talk with the company and share my input. I have added a few things to the exterior to meet my needs instead. For example, I have two wipe holders strapped to the outside so I can easily access 70% alcohol wipes for sanitizing my equipment and one that holds masks in it. I also added a hand sanitizer holder on the exterior as well. Iโm not too sure about the pad in the back pocket. I think itโs to cover a tablet or laptop (?) but I could be wrong. Iโm not a fan of how it is attached in there, but itโs not that big of a deal. I do agree with other reviewers that it would be nice if it had a more rigid structure/frame to it, but overall I am very happy happy with this backpack and will be referring colleagues to it.

Overall excellent choice, esp for visiting healthcare professionals
Visiting hospice nurse here. My company gives us these rolling bags (also made by Hopkins) that are bulky and tippy, and I found myself usually carrying it on my shoulder even though it weighed a ton, resulting in some serious spinal misalignment! This backpack version is way more comfortable and user friendly for those of us who travel light and do a lot of in-and-out kind of visits. It's super comfortable, nondescript, and easily sits out of the way in a cluttered house or small nursing home room. There are three "main" pockets, one of them with a laptop divider (which I never use), one small outer pocket for pens and stuff (my tablet usually ends up here), two side pockets (one red-tagged, "dirty" pocket. Very important for when Medicare is inspecting!), and a weird, long, narrow pocket at the bottom that I haven't quite figured out yet. I try to keep gloves in here, but wish it was a little more substantial for storing paper towels or chucks or something. The whole bag is very durable and very easy to clean. I also like that two of the main pockets zip all the way down to the bottom, so you can almost open the whole bag like a book. Yet, there are still some cons that bug me enough to share them. First of all, main pockets (ie, the ones that you throw all your stuff in) each have inner pockets made out of netting material. I find my equipment more often than not gets snagged, and I wish that at least one of the main pockets did not have the netting. Also, and this sounds SO nitpicky, but the small outer pocket has only one zipper. I know, so what? I didn't think it would bug me, but maybe bcs I'm so used to having my bags with two zippers meeting in the middle it just drives me crazy that the only way to get in and out of the front pocket (which is the one I open and close the most) is by zipping it all the way open or closed. I guarantee you are reading this and thinking, "I don't even get what the problem is here?" But I'm telling you, get this bag and wait until you find yourself racing down the hall of the hospital when your phone rings and you go to dig into the front pocket. I hope you will remember this review and go, "Ohhhh...." Basically, if I had a magic wand, I would take this exact bag but fix that one zipper (the other pockets are fine. so weird), remove the netting from the inside and maybe instead just put some elastic loops or velcro to snap my equipment in (let's be honest, that would last exactly one visit before everything became a jumble). I would also maybe make the bottom outer pocket deeper and more practical. And don't get me wrong, after lugging around that ridiculous wheeled bag (or watching my coworkers using very unprofessional, unsanitary bags that could get them in trouble if Medicare bothered to pay attention), I can say with confidence that this bag was the best thing I bought for myself as a visiting nurse!

Great back pack for home health physical therapy
Great backpack for home health, only problem is it loses its rigidity over time and won't stand up on its own very well. I'm going to add some riged supports along the inside edges of this backpack so it doesn't fall over.

Falling Apart
Update Jan 2020: One of the straps of the bag is separating from the body, making it impossible to use both straps. In less than one year, it's falling apart. I expect more from Hopkins, as the previous bag I had lasted almost 6 years. Best bag I've used by far. I work in hospice, so it's helpful to have a good quality bag that is well organized. There's plenty of room for all of my equipment, laptop, cables, etc. Love that I don't have to carry it or weigh down one shoulder like a lot of nursing bag options. Sturdy construction that's held up well thus far.

It has so many great pockets! The first large pocket has zippers with a small padlock hole so that you can keep personal items in it and not worry about people being able to access it. There is an area in the back pocket for a smaller laptop or slim binder to hold paperwork. A zippered side compartment is great for sharps and the other side has one great for gloves, but is probably too small for antibacterial wipes. On the walls of most compartments are dividers for you to tuck away small items so as not to lose them (pulse ox, batteries, 4x4s, etc). There is an attached, zippered pen compartment in the center compartment. I love it. It's durable and works so much better than any shoulder bag I've ever used. A++, would buy again.

Falling apart
This backpack was great, for about 3 months. Now it is falling apart and the seller will not contact me back about replacement. The straps are falling apart at the seams. They fray more every day, making it not worth the price and not acceptable for work purposes.
