Worked Well
Used this on a ford 2003 Taurus Wagon. I was not clever or adventurous enough to figure out how to get the door latch mechanism out of the door to attach this little bugger. But figured out how to twist the piece on inside the door...it was not easy. But now that it is fixed and working I am one happy camper. And yeah, the old unit was not debris proof. Pathetic really. This is a common ailment suffered eventually by all driver side front door on older Ford vehicles.

Not for Ford Focus!
This item does NOT fit a 2005 Ford Focus like it states when searching for like parts. Didn't have time to get to changing it till after the return time passed, so stuck with a worthless part
