Works well
Built Cheaply but I replaced 4 of there nuts an bolts with my own. An drilled a hole for filler so it could leak back into bucket . All in all great for the price

It's inexpensive and it works but it needs some help
For the price, this was a pretty good deal. I pumped my first 10 gallons of Super UDT2 into my tractor without a problem. However, there are a few things to know here. The hose they send is pretty sad. I haven't yet upgraded it but it probably needs to be replaced. It kinks at the outlet and needs to have a lot of help to remain open and it really needs a clamp because if you don't clamp it, it will spit the hose off in a hurry. Also the nut through which the plunger travels must be tightened or it will leak. I suspect this is where the other reviewers were complaining about leaking. There is also some assembly required so be ready for that. But my biggest gripe is that there is no hole in the top of the steel lid into which I might put the feed tube. So I had to keep an old jug around to let it drain. That seems really odd to me. But for the price, it will get lube into your tractor (or whatever) much more easily than you can do it with a funnel. Temping to give three stars, but aside from these shortcomings, it works well.

Great Pump For The Money
For the money this is a great pump. I have been around trucks my whole life bought this to use in my shop at home to fill a transmission and rear on a KW works great on the 5 gallon 80/90 gear oil bucket. No leaks, pump works great.

Cheap casting
I thought I would try this pump because I wouldn’t be using it often and it fit the budget. Pump looked nice and went together easy. Problem was it never pumped the first time. I’m in the industrial maintenance field and I work with different types of pumps daily. I turned the pump so much trying to get it to prime that the handle eventually just snapped off inside the pump. So at this point I took it apart to see why it wouldn’t pump. The casting tolerances were so bad that it would be literally impossible for this thing to ever hold enough pressure to move any type of fluid. It’s a very cheap and thin casting with a spring the size of a pen spring pressing the rotor blades against the housings. Yard ornament at best.

Great Pump for Heavy Oils
I bought this to pump 90W gear oil from a 5-gallon bucket to smaller containers for recycling. The hose ends are just pressed on so I went ahead and put 1/4" hose clamps on both ends before I used it based on the mess others reported. I'd say they were correct because although it seems like low pressure when you are pumping heavy oil it creates a lot of pressure in the hose. **NOTE: The free HF 5 G buckets are NOT standard size and this will NOT fit the top. The HF is larger in diameter. TSC buckets and WM buckets are the standard diameters that will accept lids and this pump. PROS: 1) I pumped heavily sludged oil with this from an old Farmall H with zero pump/hose leaks. You do need to pump more slowly the more heavy the oils is otherwise something may give. The bottom line is it will work. 2) The pump slides up or down in the lid in case you don't want to be right on the bottom. 3) The pump has stand-off feet to maintain an air gap if it is on a flat bottom. 4) It saves your back and prevents a major mess trying to dump 5 G of oil into a funnel on a smaller container . . . I know. 5) Zero leaks 6) Price CONS: 1) you need to supply 1/4" hose fittings to reinforce the hose connections. 2) The hose is cheap PVC, but it worked for me. I'm not sure how long it will last and trends to fold where it comes out the top of the pump, however, the pressure expands it open.

Does not fit 55gal plastic barrels
This pump is threaded for 55gal steel drums, not 55gal plastic barrels, the threading is too small to fit in the 2” bung on a 55gal plastic barrel. I bought this based on the product images showing the pump threaded on a 55gal plastic barrel and was disappointed to find out the threading is too small. The packaging my pump arrived in was also poorly packaged with the hardware to attack the primer handle floating around loosely in the box (nuts, washers, machine screws). I also had a pack again sticker clearly labeled to apply to the package for marketing randomly thrown inside the packaging. Overall disappointed with this product. Regarding build quality, the plastic quality feels good and the pump has good suction and lift but I have concerns about the longevity of the telescoping pipe that goes down into the drum, the seal on the telescoping portion does not feel like it would last more than a few seasons of use (it is a rubber bushing to form a seal on the telescoping pipe section). Overall I am going to keep the pump as I do have a few 55gal steel drums I can use it with, but I am deeply disappointed that the product photos show use with a 55gal plastic drum but the actual product does not fit or come with an adapter to thread into a 2” bung.

Fluid Film
For those who want to use this pump for a 5 gallon fluid film and need to transfer to spray bottle with little mess. It does work. Mix it up well, do it above 60deg. Did mine on 80 deg. Smoothly done with 5% mess. I approve for fluid film for this purchase.

I used for replacing the 80w90 gear oil on my tractor front axle. The pump worked flawlessly. I'll echo the comments of other reviews that clamps are needed on the pvc hose otherwise it will pop the hose off. Excellent pump!

Amazing product, I have a 50 gallons shampoo bottle and its make it easier to move the liquid from it. the only problem is that it leaks from above.
