A whole series of beautiful colours from this supplier - I used this for a mid-century lamp - to give it more authenticity. The wires are easy to cut and shred the ends to fix into the lamp and the plug. I bought the length to run behind the log sofa. Very nice product, beautifully twined and authentic to cable from way back!

After spending a long time deliberating on the colour... I wish that I had chosen black! But the wire itself is great if you are after the period 'look' and unless you have a lot of lights, buying a couple of metres this way makes sense. Stripping the outer covering isn't too tricky, although you have to be careful not to allow the two parts to beoome untwisted (it would kind of defeat the point, wouldn't it?). If you are restoring a lamp or finishing off a new project, this wire will make all the difference - recommended.

I needed to rewire a table lamp And the previous owner had a white cable and it just looked out of place for the age of the lamp .But the cable I ordered is ideal for the period of when the lamp was made Just the right colour I was suprised by how many colours you can get it in .But the Bronze cord is a match for the lamp .So very happy with how it looks now .

This is exactly what I needed to rewire an oak table lamp that my father made around fifty years ago. It has a perfect vintage look, but it meets modern safety standards, as it has three cores, (line, neutral and earth), correctly colour coded. I'm so pleased with this that I have re-ordered, this time to rewire an oak standard lamp, again made by my father. If you order this cable, you will find that the ends are tightly wrapped in electrician's tape. There is good reason for this - the fabric covering frays immediately that the tape is removed. So before starting work, have some thin strips of electricians tape ready to bind the ends of each of the strands.
