Can I order this from Korea without any problem?

I Belive is not possible to ship plants to another country as Customs in you country may thru it away .

what do I do to open up or whatever it does?

Water it. Keep in mind it is easy to over-water this plant I've had mine for 5+ years so in order to prevent overwatering; I water it with approx 1/2 cup to 3/4 of water once a week letting the water evaporate. If you overwater it it can go rancid or grow mold that will kill it. Over the week it will open and close, however that is the best way that I've found to help it to thrive. It's okay to let it dry out it's just how it grows in the wild. Now you can also place it roots down in a bowl filled with dime sized pebbles or marbles for drainage but you would have to change the water quite often depending on the room and humidity levels. So either way but it's a wonderful plant that catches people's eyes as it opens up to beautiful green life from a seemingly dead brown ball.

Is this a live plant or seeds?

This is neither a live plant or seeds. The plant is dead. It will unfurl when watered. It is green. But it will not grow even when watered regularly.

do i just add water and keep it wet if i want it to stay green

Exactly! I usually cleam the dish and add fresh water. I only have it out beg of Nov- end of Jan. My guys like to drink the water (pets) I make sure its dry and place it in a ziplock until next holiday.

dont waste your money..

Fast shipping..packaged great however..plant is rediculous. Yes it opened up some in water..ugly..very unappealing..even planted in soil..terrible..this is the only item i have ever ordered from Hirt's that I have actually been disappointed with.

Dissapointing

I purchased this as a gift for my mother and it was pretty dissapointing. I watered it frequently but no matter what the plant just wouldn't bloom and was always atleast partially brown. The plus side was that no matter how long I would leave it unwatered when I did water it would come back to life, not in a pretty form, but alive nonetheless. It would probably still be alive if the hired gardener didn't think it was have been an ugly dead weed and had thrown it away. All in all, It won't die, but it isn't exactly eye candy.
