What an excellent product and very well made. I did quite a lot of research before choosing a cordless hot air gun, and I decided to go for this one as I wanted to use it for heating plastic pipework to make it easier to fit push connectors on an irrigation system. It does the job perfectly and has made the job so much easier. I’m very pleased with the quality and performance of the product.

Product is great, comes with 3 different head attachments, would be nice if it came with a case but you can adapt. Battery not included. See image which can be done with a dewalt tstak box and foam insert on amazon and heat shrink of different sizes can be found on amazon. That particular brand is in the 2nd pic

Very good but didn't get really hot

Well this won't melt the snow off your roof but it is more than adequate for shrink-wrapping and minor jobs. Build quality is as you would expect from Dewalt. Heavy on batteries.

Excelent heat gun, solid construction, uses a lot if power, so get 6Ah battery or bigger

Very good product

Read the reviews and was aware of the issues with this but I didn’t need much power or heat, just needed it for drying and warming car tyres prior to dressing and occasional bit of heat shrinking. Unfortunately most of the reviews don’t adequately describe how poor this is, seems to achieve (just) enough temperature for my modest needs but has absolutely no blowing force at all. Seriously, would be better off with a hairdryer, for any other job like paint stripping forget it. No idea what other brands are like but this is the first Dewalt tool I’ve bought in 25 years that has not been fit for purpose. Returned for refund.

Nice and light, works well for low-mid heat applications such as heat shrinking etc, but doesn't have enough power for paint stripping. I'll be keeping it for other uses, but looking at other options for taking the paint off an old chest I'm trying to restore. Maybe it'd be ok for thinner layers of paint, but for multiple layers of old paint, not a chance.

Looks good. Feels solid. Works good. Haven't checked the battery drainage yet.

Ich kann das gejammer und gemecker um das Gerät wirklich nicht verstehen, weil dafür wie leicht und kompakt die Dewalt ist und dafür das die mit Akku betrieben wird, ist die Leistung doch wirklich absolut in Ordnung 🤷‍♂️ Ja, und das selbst mit den kleinen 2.0Ah Akkus 👌 Wem das nicht reicht, für den gibt es bereits sehr günstige, kabelgebundene Heißluftpistolen. Die haben dann auch 2000 Watt und schaffen teilweise mehr als 650° 🤷‍♂️ Ich bin mit der kleinen Dewalt absolut zufrieden, auch wenn die angegebenen Temperaturen* von 290° / 530° meiner Meinung nach, nicht erreicht werden. Aber für Schrumpfschlauch reicht es mehr als locker und selbst kleinere Folierungen gelingen tadellos 👍 Klar frühstückt das Teil Akkus regelrecht weg, aber das sollte eigentlich jedem von vornherein klar sein. Kurz und knapp, mir gefällt die kleine, leichte und qualitativ wertige Dewalt, auch wenn die gern etwas günstiger sein dürfte 😬 * die in meinem Video zu sehenden Temperaturen stellen nicht das Maximum, der erreichbaren Temperaturen dar, da ich lediglich einen kleinen 2.0Ah Akku für den Test benutzt habe. Mit einem 5.0Ah Akku können die Werte vollkommen anders ausfallen!
