Metal cutters are nice for clay as it does not stick, but the problem with them is the area the metal wraps and mets- it causes distortion in the cuts. These would be nicer if they were shapped to be able to mirror or had a mirror cutter.

I’m using these with polymer clay. These are great shapes, BUT the photos of these is deceiving. It appears there is no seam, but there is a seam just like any other standard inexpensive cutter. Therefore, you’ll need to smooth out the seam. For the price I paid, I would have thought Sculpey would have been a better quality. ALSO, I want to make reversible earrings, so they aren’t going the same direction on both sides, but the top of the cutter is thicker than the cutting part, so when I flip the cutter “upside down”, it won’t cut as sharp and ends up being a little different shape. If you are making clay items, you will totally understand. I will add a photo. For these reasons I’m only giving these a 3 star review.

A nice surprise to see Sculpey moving away from mainstreet shape cutters, I just wish they were bigger.

Everyone is into clay earrings lately. Had to find something to do during the pandemic so this is a hobby I picked up. Along with Putz houses and adult coloring and sign making and reading. It’s been a long year. Some think these are too small but for those of us that like smaller earrings but still want to enjoy the clay earring fad they are perfect.

These are very small cutters. They're good for adding detail to larger Polymer Clay projects, for earrings. The largest size could be used for a smaller sized pendant. They'd be good for Metal Clay too.
