Escape the Dark Castle

Easy to play. Tough to win, but I liked it

A very easy to learn and greatly replayable game with amazing atmosphere. I would definitely recommend for any group wanting a challenging game that is easy to start.

This is one of my favorite board games. The art is so vintage fantasy/d&d vibes. It's easy to learn and play without much setup, making it perfect for parents sneaking in some fun after bedtime. I love the expansions as well and hope to get the vinyl eventually.

Definitely recommend this game. It’s a nice challenge, but enjoyable. However, I did receive the game as is with a shipping label smacked on it. Luckily the game wasn’t damage, but it definitely could happen to someone else if they continue to ship it like this. Plus it was a gift and the surprise was nearly ruined.

The board game is AMAZING and is super easy to set up. The game itself is a bit of a horror TTRPG on rails which allows folks to really kind of delve into it and expand to other tabletops if they want. Fair warning though to please do not buy from Amazon. The boardgame came without shrink wrap and had what looked like scotch-tape(?) and sticky smudges all over it. Immediately returned it. My review will focus on the game itself.

This game is very good at telling a story. If you are not a fan of reading, this game may not be for you. The game is played by reading through a stack of cards that will either contain some kind of story element of potentially a monster to fight. You can feel the tension rising as you cling to your last bit of health as you and your friends fight off a dungeon of horrors.

This game is super fun and easy to learn! Best played with at least 3 people. You are basically working as a team to escape the castle alive and each card lets you chose your own adventure.

My package took a while to arrive but arrived safely. They should put in another box for safer transport but I had no problems
