Great plastic jar to clean metals by shaking and swirling in cleaning solution. A glass one would have shattered so glad there are plastic ones. Only gripe is you have to tighten the lid down hard or else you'll get have leaking. Overall build is good.

These jars were the perfect size for a craft project I used with my class. Nice and sturdy for children.

I bought these for a craft I was doing with my 2 and 5 yr old. I didn't want to use glass for safety reasons so these plastics jars were perfect. The only downside is that the plastic scratches very easily so they didn't stay clear for long.

We used a glass mason jar before this... which was broken, shattered across our tile floor and scared both toddlers and us. We ordered these to replace glass items so our dog doesn't cause a break if he misbehaves and tries to get on the counter. It is durable and is very clear, much like the glass, with NONE of the worry of using glass containers. We even use one for our "Good Deeds Jar" to show out kids how being good, listening, and being kind gives you a reward. Once their jar is filled to the top with little pom poms, they get to pick out a new toy as a reward. Now that we have the plastic jar, I can let them carry around their jars and show it off to friends and family that visit without me having to hold them and put them out of reach. It's made it more enjoyable for everyone in our home, and less stressful for us parents. Thank you!

Not a standard "Mason" jar, Mason lids do NOT fit. This is just a generic (thin) plastic jar. The opening is too big for standard Mason lids, they will not go on. I have a liquid soap dispenser pump that is a standard Mason size. It fits on glass Mason jars. It won't work with this. I was hoping to get away from the glass jars in the bathroom, as my wife had just broken one. I DID test this plastic jar with a standard Mason lid, no go. Buyer beware.

The jars are not compatible with standard Mason Jar lids the threads are different and slightly smaller so standard Mason Jar lids will slip when tightened.
