Thule'Thule Crossover 2 Laptop Bag 15.6'''

Perfect All Day Long Work Bag
I use this bag at work all day. I work in various locations throughout the day and need to be able to set up and pack away efficiently and without a big fuss. I work using both laptop and papers.1) I can fit a 2021 MacBook Pro 16", INSIDE a Thule 16" Gauntlet Case, directly inside the laptop compartment. Slides in nice and snug but not too tight and easy to get in and out. That's a good sized laptop compartment. Very happy with that feature alone. It was the main thing for me.2) The main compartment fits in a few A4 hardback notebooks or a ring binder or, if I expand it, a lever arch file and a notebook or two. Really super useful. Opens easily with very good zips and easy access as the opening is large and quick to use. I love the flexibility and I use both normal and expanded equally. Some bags, when expanded, look all wrong and balance weirdly - not this one - its equally good expanded.3) The no-crush compartment is a glasses case - I use it instead of my old glasses case and grabbing them is easy and quick. the small zip pocket in the same compartment is good for little items like a tiny memory stick.4) The front pocket is spacious and I can get most of a stationary cupboard in there. My phone slots easily into the RFID pocket and everything has its place.5) other compartments and dividers are sufficient but not excessive. Nothing is flimsy, nothing flaps about or gets in the way. Nothing is fiddly or a pain to live with.6) The carry strap is comfy. The handles are well placed and tend to close the case and keep it closed when you hold them, even if not zipped up - useful for a quick move or relocate without everything spilling everywhere.Overall, the whole concept is really well thought out and executed with quality materials. It looks stylish and never seems too big. Its a really good example of a bag that feels as if its internal space exceeds its external volume. I took a bit of a punt on it based on measurements and limited images but it has surpassed my expectations and it is a real pleasure to work with. Nothing I don't like.

Impressive build quality and a design that works as well as I'd hoped
A really good bag. I did my research before finally ordering this one, without having actually seen it in the flesh. I care about design and build quality and I was looking for something at better value than a current Tumi. I wasn't sure about this particular model because of its relatively deep profile (side to side). I had a Tumi T-Tech before this which was just excellent, particularly in its narrow form factor. It is worth saying that this Thule bag has more structure and materials involved in its depth (multiple compartments and structure between them), and there is no getting away from the fact that it is relatively deep as a result, in terms of its exterior measurements. But it is no deeper than I expected, and it doesn't actually cause me any practical problems in that regard. In terms of internal dimensions, there is less width available in the main compartment than you might expect, in unexpanded mode, because of all that internal structure. But being able to expand it (not a feature of my old bag) is actually really useful. The other thing I was concerned about in advance was the weight of the bag itself, before you put anything in it. But that hasn't caused any problems day to day, as I run it with the shoulder strap (high quality) more than I did the old bag, and that weight comes from apparently good design and strong construction.Talking of which, I give the bag top marks on materials and apparent build quality. I only say 'apparent' because I have only lived with it for a few weeks, and build quality comes to the fore after years not weeks (previous Tumi T-Tech was in ship shape after 7-8 years, so that's the benchmark). But I'm sensitive to design and build quality, and the exterior material, interior compartments, zippers and shoulder strap all give a really solid impression.I'd also say that the fabric handles seem good. I don't know how dirty they will get over time, compared to leather or vinyl, but they won't crack like the Tumi ones did, which is a positive, and you can always wash the bag if you have to.I wanted a proper sleeve for putting it over top of a rolling carry-on bag, which this one has, and the small pocket on that side of the bag isn't big enough for putting Legal/A4 papers in (my Tumi had a full side rear pocket), but that's a small compromise and the pocket that's there is big enough for things like a phone, passport etc, so not a big omission. The price is higher than some of the various alternatives, including Thule's other models and those from other brands (none of which fit my requirements), but it is like a third the price of a Tumi and I'm really pleased with it so far. If it doesn't last 7+ years, I could buy a new one every couple of years for the same cost as a Tumi that might.

After sales service?
To be clear, apart from a small tear in the shoulder pad found 3 weeks after the return period closed, so about 7 weeks after getting the bag, this bag has been fantastic and otherwise very well made.Hey Amazon, how exactly do I request for a repair or replacement shoulder pad? Now that the return window is closed all I seem to be able to do is "buy another one".I really hope there is some way to enact the product warranty through Amazon...
