Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier - Complete Series SDBD

So about a fews years ago, I was on the internet and just looking up images of old anime from the 90s and early 2000s when I stumbled on a picture of the characters from the Cyborg 009 show. Immediately I felt like I had seen these characters and name somewhere before, but couldn't understand why it looked so familiar. Did some research and found that I had seen a bit of this show before on cartoon network when I was really young when the 2003 Astro Boy show was on CN as well.I really enjoy the artstyle of the 90s anime, but really enjoy that classic anime style from shows like AstroBoy, Cyborg 009, and a movie called Metropolis. Let me tell you, it was the hardest thing to find all the English dub on the web to watch this series as it had right's issues and was never distributed much. Luckily someone on Youtube upload all the episodes up to 48 that aired in English, but was very low quality, but I enjoyed it regardless, because this show was fantastic and I loved every minute of it.Fast forward to now and I have the greatest thanks ever to Discotek Media for releasing every single episode in English dub on this SD to BD. I was overjoyed that this hidden gem of an anime series was being released in English with the God's War arc as well , as I had never seen it in English before. They did the best job that they could do with what they had to bring this show to public again. I am so thankful that they have created this wonderful Blu-ray for such a timeless classic anime.

This, from what I can tell, is the most complete way to buy this series. Prior to this, it was almost impossible to track down all of the episodes in a consistent quality or format. As far as just having the complete series with little compromise, it's pretty great that this is available.With that being said, while this series can be pretty silly, it still is a really fun nostalgia trip. I'm finding it hard to leave my bias at the door so that I can actually tell you that this show is just alright. If you enjoyed this show in the early 2000's, I highly recommend picking this up while you can. If you have zero exposure to it and are just interested in the 50+ years of history behind this franchise, this is a great starting point too.

The greatest adaptation for cyborg 009 you'll ever see. My 2nd favorite anime next to yu yu hakusho

I have been waiting for this beyond amazing series for almost 17 years! I have bought any and every cyborg 009 dvd I could find. Some had okayish subtitles and others had limited english dubs. This blue ray has every single episode and all in quality. This series is worth every penny! I have read all of the manga and everything I could get my hands on. This blue ray is a blessing and the best way I could find to start my new year! All the time it must have taken to put all of these episodes together is just mind boggling. I have and will always highly recommend this series to everyone I meet!!!

I like the quality and that storys i have been fan since i was a child to cyborg 009 the waiting is the only thing i can complan about other then that i am satisfied the seller did ab exellent work whit the product when it Comes to protection it on transfer so that was good to would byu from this seller again

So I've been looking for this series since I started making my own money. I've watched this series as a kid and loved it. Before you could only get bits and pieces of the series but now I have the entire series. At first I thought it was another one or two episodes disk but nope to my delight it was the whole thing. I was so overwhelmed with not I Insta bought it. Little pricey but I think in the long run once these start disappearing off the shelf the price is gonna sky rocket so if you're a fan get it now.

Worth every penny. I was huge into this series when it was on tonami then they dropped it to adult swim and it died off fast. That's how I remember it going. I could be wrong. Any way for what they where working with it looks great. Yes it is dubbed in English. I haven't finished it yet but when I get to the last episode i recall; it will be cool to see where it goes.

This is of an excellent quality and I am still enjoying many of the 51 episodes. I highly recommend this one!

Its everything I could have dreamed for. My best friend got me hooked on the series a few years back and I loved. It sucked because every episode online after episode 26 wasn't the best. But knowing this has every episode dubbed and finished so perfectly makes me happy I bought it.

国内盤は高価なので，北米版を探していました。以前，第8話までのものを購入しましたが，全話揃えたくて探していました。それが，ついに･･･。ＢＤ1枚に全51話と特典映像なので，画質は決して良いとは言えません。でも，見るに耐えうるものです。全話そろって，この値段なら贅沢は言えません。それよりも特典映像が良いです。アメリカチックな宣伝映像，アメリカ版オープニング･･･。００９を愛する者として，アメリカで放送されていたことを思うと感無量。その香りを感じさせる特典映像です。平成009ファンなら買って損なしです。

2001年版でした。全51話で気づくべきでした。(1979年版は全50話)しかもBD一枚に全51話が収まっているので画質が悪いです(VHSのビデオテープ並？)追記商品タイトル・商品説明は修正された様ですね。私が買った時は1979年版の内容で、1979年版が欲しかったので上記なコメントになりましたが。2001年版が欲しくて画質の悪さ＜ディスク一枚の手軽さ・お値段ならば購入も有りです。私は2001年版も欲しかったので返品はしていません。2001年版が最初から欲しかったとしても、画質の悪さで星一つは変わりません。

タイトル『サイボーグ009 THE CYBORG SOLDIER』/ディスク1枚/51話。一般的な国内プレイヤーで再生出来ます（再生環境/SONYの2015年～の最廉価プレイヤー『BDP-S1500』）。タイトルで日本語/英字幕《OFF》を選択すれば、後は普通に鑑賞出来ます。映像特典は、ノンテロップOP&ED（全種類）・USプロモ・US版DVDトレイラー・アートギャラリー等。画質はSDですが、後発で発売された国内版ブルーレイも同じSD画質という事を考えると、より安価に購入できる北米版の方に軍配が上がる事でしょう。なお、4:52:50～4:52:52の部分でブロックノイズが入ります（盤面に問題が無いので私だけではないと思います）。後発の国内版では修正されていると思いますが、神経質な方はその点にご注意を。物語としては、ブラックゴースト絡みの『誕生編』と『地底帝国ヨミ編』が見所でしょう。最終３話分の『Conclusion God's War』は、《俺達の戦いはこれからだ！》ENDなので、まぁ当時発売されるコミックのＣＭ的要素が強いです。なお、コミック版は完結していますが、正直『誕生編』と『地底帝国ヨミ編』に比べるとそれほど面白いもんじゃないです。お安く００９を堪能したい方や、００９初心者の方は本商品から入られるのが、ボリューム＆コスパ的にベストなんじゃないでしょうか♪国内版の体たらくを含めて、北米版は文句無しの☆×5です。

PanasonicのDMP-BD90というBD 再生専用機で再生できました。北米版ですが、OP、EDのタイトルやスタッフ名もそのまま日本語で収録されており、字幕を消して視聴すればまんま日本版です。画質については、他のレヴュアーの方も記しているようにDVDレベルの画質で、動きの大きいところでは画面が荒れるところもあります。しかしながら、手元に地上波アナログで録画したDVD-Rしかない身としては、この値段で平成版００９を丸々視聴できるというのは非常にありがたく、メーカーに恵まれないせいで満足な商品が発売されず、悶々としている私のような方たちにとって僥倖となることは間違いないと思います。作品については原作のエピソードを一番忠実に再現しており、（OP、ED以外は）サイボーグ００９を初めて見る方に、是非お勧めしたい内容です。商品構成は、北米版らしく紙スリーブに入ったBDケースにディスクが１枚入っているだけのシンプルな内容ですので、画質や特典物にこだわりのない方なら買って損のない商品です。
