heats up fast and handles every job I threw at it
Used this to strip some old paint and remove vinyl decals from my car and it handled both jobs without breaking a sweat. The two temperature settings actually make a real difference since some materials need more heat than others and being able to dial it in is super convenient. It's lightweight so your arm doesn't get tired holding it for extended sessions which I didn't think would matter until it did. Great tool to have around and honestly a must own for anyone who does any kind of DIY projects.

Reliable Heat Gun for Versatile Applications
solid tool for various household and DIY tasks. With two temperature settings (750°F and 1000°F), it offers flexibility for projects like paint stripping, thawing pipes, and shrink wrapping. The heat gun is lightweight and comfortable to handle, making it easy to use for extended periods. The dual temperature settings are convenient, allowing you to adjust based on the task's requirements. The gun heats up quickly, and the focused airflow ensures precise application. While it's durable and efficient, it would be great if it came with additional nozzles or accessories for even more versatility. Overall, this is an excellent heat gun for both beginners and experienced users, offering reliable performance at a reasonable price. Highly recommended for home improvement and craft projects!

For The Price .. Great
Pros: Two Heat Settings Hands Free Operation Durable Versatile Cons: Wired What I received in the package: 1 x WAGNER Spraytech HT1000 Heat Gun This WAGNER Spraytech HT1000 Heat Gun product has dual temperature controls that can toggle either 750 degrees F or 1000 degrees F. This tool is extremely useful and I was very torn with I decided on this tool. I bought this because of the name and the price. I really wanted a cordless heat gun but they ran 3X or more than this gun. I just could not make that math work in my head. I don’t use a heat gun often but when one is needed it would be nice to have. So I opted for a wired version that was relatively inexpensive. I tested this gun on a few heat shrink connections and it worked perfectly. I was really impressed with the ease of use and how fast it got up to temperature. The manufacturer offers a 2-Year Warranty on this product. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All in all, for the amount of electrical work I do, this product has made it so much easier to perform waterproof connections. It works extremely well and I am pleased with the purchase.Hope this information was helpful. [4 Stars]

Perfect for craft use—removes labels and sets glue fast
I use this Wagner heat gun for crafting—not paint stripping—and it’s become one of my go-to tools in the kitchen corner of my craft setup. It’s great for removing sticky labels and old glue, and I also use it to speed up glue setting when I need things to stay put fast. It heats quickly, and the low setting is gentle enough for delicate surfaces while still effective. The high setting cuts through tougher adhesives without scorching. It’s lightweight, easy to aim, and fits comfortably in the hand. As a kitchen crafter, compact tools are key—this one stores easily and doesn’t hog space on the counter. The cord length is generous, and cleanup is no issue. If you’re crafting in tight spaces or just want a reliable heat gun for label removal and glue work, this one does the job.

Ht1000 a very, very good 2 temp heat gun
It's a properly designed nozzle with a output baffle; it's not intended to provide focused, or directional heat but there are attachments if your application requires that. Heats up fast and makes easy work of heat shrink tubing at low temperature (if you can wait the extra 15 seconds!) which is around 750 deg. No problem at all with marine duty tubing, and H will do the job on solder seal better, more uniformly than a butane iron in "afterburner" mode. I would not characterize the HT1000 as "bulky" or awkward or hard to handle. This tool should not be mistaken or thought of as a hair dryer in construction yellow skin. It's a tool that gets extremely hot blisters paint with only seconds of exposure. The object being heated can easily melt or warp if not careful. If you've used the top of the washing machine for iron on work- you'll have a paint-free lid using this gun. Regardless of the make or preference of heat gun- one must be ever, ever mindful not to make accidental contact with any part of the nozzle; and keep fingers well away and clear from the exhaust. I use it for kit, DIY/electronic, breadboard types of projects. For price/performance, this gun is a great value and extremely high utility for those types of applications. If you need more discrete temperature control and other features such as rapid cool down- this gun is probably not the right fit.

Had it a year, still works great
I purchased this heat gun on July 14th, 2012 So I've owned it for over a year and it's still going strong. I'm the type of reviewer who likes to really use a product before posting up a review, especially when it comes to tools. I use this heat gun primarily to remove stickers from boxes. I like to save up my Amazon boxes of all shapes and sizes and reuse them when I sell stuff on eBay. This gun aides in the removal of stickers where they would normally rip the cardboard along with them. So this gun gets a lot of use on a day in, day out basis. The reason I bought this particular heat gun was due to the fact my Harbor Freight model crapped out on me after merely 6 months of minimal use. It started to smoke when being used. Upon contacting Harbor Freight, I quickly learned there was pretty much nothing that could be done, unless I purchased their extended warranty on the tool, which I didn't at the time. So my quest led me to Amazon and I ran across this heat gun. What sold me on this particular heat gun, aside from the stellar reviews, was the fact it came with a 2 year warranty. That was something that assured me I would be taken care of, if something were to break. I've had previous experience with Wagner customer service and they were great. They replaced a paint scraping tool that broke. So I knew from this experience, I would be well taken care of. Not much else to really say. In conclusion, I've used this gun weekly for over a year and it's still going great, build quality is excellent and it does its job. I would definitely buy this product again.

110-120v product
The product looks really of good quality. But, I think this heat gun is not meant for gulf countries. It operates on 110-120v. I believe it should be 220-240v for the gulf countries. I had to return my order. If they have a 220-240v version I would re-order.

Great little tool!
This heat gun lives on my bench. I repair EVERYTHING! from woodwork, metalwork, plastics, etc and this tool is indispensible. When my old one died, i purchased this to replace it. It is lesser power than my old one, but that is not a bad thing in that it doesn't tend to melt plastic and other delicate items so easily. It softens adhesives (Say for removing labels, XC ski baskets,..) increases penetration of solvents (stuck bolts), warms up epoxy resins prior to mixing, and many other common jobs around the shop. Good purchase.
