Great Value but a wonderful knife regardless of price.
First, as background, I want to confess that I am a knife nut. That means I collect all sorts of knifes, from utility to tactical and everything else in between. I know way more than I should about the metals used for knives, from D2 to Aus 8 to CPM S30V, etc. I know about which metals are high carbon, which can hold an edge well, which are easy to sharpen and will retain an edge. I say all this to say that I am very picky about any edged tool I use. It has to look good, feel good, and I basically want every knife I have to be usable for shaving.I had read a lot of reviews about this knife. There are many like it on Amazon, but this one seems to receive consistently high marks. Plus, it cost next to nothing. $18 for a chef's knife is as low as you would ever find. Look on the high end, and you can find chef's knives for $400+. I figured I would try this one out as a "nothing to lose" proposition since it had received such great reviews. This knife arrived in the mail today. I looked at the package. Sure enough, a well made and beautiful custom package for such a cheap knife was a pleasant surprise. I took it out and held it, and immediately it felt just the right weight and balance for a knife of this kind, begging to be used. I tested the edge. As many had said, it was razor sharp, much sharper than most knives when they are sold. But, as I ran my thumb carefully along the edge, I felt that the edge could be made even sharper. So I spent 5-10 minutes running the knife through my array of sharpeners. Then I tested the edge again. Let me tell you, there was no need to try to slice paper, or shave hair off my arm. This knife was so sharp that it nearly scared me. I have over 50 knives, many quite expensive. Only a few has ever reached a level of sharpness that this chef's knife has now reached. As it happens, I have some beef on hand that I wanted to prepare for dinner. I used my new knife. After cutting for about 30 seconds, I mentally told myself to be VERY careful with this knife in the future, because that beef was being cut like tofu. I mean it when I say: "Scary sharp".So there you have it. If you want something with molded steel, or actual demascus steel, or something you can leave to your kids as an heirloom, I don't suppose an $18 knife will cut it. But if you plan to be making dinner, and you want to cut stuff up with a knife that can be made ridiculously sharp, and will cut anything and everything with almost no effort, I highly recommend this one. I would pay much more for it without any regret. But for $18? It's a steal. Buy one for yourself now, and keep that edge away from your fingers!

Great Starter/Back Up Knife
This is a great cheap option if you're just getting into cooking or if you need a backup knife. It's not gonna split atoms but comes pretty sharp out the box. It's cheap so you don't have to go nuts sharpening it. A good hand sharpener ever few months and regular honing will do just fine. And because it's cheap you can beat it up good without worrying about it since it's very easily replaced.I bought this 4 years ago and I still use it when I'm prepping something quick and I don't feel like breaking out the big dogs.In short, great daily driver but don't expect to win any 🛞 ⭐️ with it. This is a stock Hyundai Elantra with no options packages.

Great knife at a great price!
I cook full time for a living and I wanted a decent backup knife to add to my main set. This knife is very well balanced and came pretty sharp out of the box. The Damascus style steel is most likely lightly printed onto the knife blade, but it still catches in the light and looks kinda cool. The knife itself is very light which I like, and the wood grain in the handle looks nice as well. I have yet to use it on the line but once I get some hours into it, I’ll update my review with notes on durability.

Very Good
Most of the people complaining about the knife getting dull after a few weeks, do not actually know how to hold or use the knife. Use a honing rod after you are done, wash it with plain water and dry it with a cloth. The knife blade is very hard and brittle, so it could potentially break on falling from a height. But i can’t complain that from a 10$ knife which has a center of gravity right at intersection of the wooden handle and the blade, not mention the awesome pattern on the blade.

Good quality for price, came the next day, and overall, beautiful looking for a $20 blade
I work in a food cart and our knifes have gone to crap. I got this so cutting tomatoes and onions aren't such a nightmare anymore. Feels great to hold and a little lighter then my own chefs knife. Great quality for its price, especially because my manager should be the one buying this, but he's not interested in doing that, so I need something I can afford to donate. Came sharp, but I'd recommend a quick blade touch up, but don't sharpen too much or it'll destroy the blade. I personally would buy another for myself, so sitting here considering that. Meanwhile, I cant wait to see my coworkers excitement to have a nice blade again

Beautiful knife
I love the look and feel of this knife. It's definitely helped me improve my chopping skills. One word of caution: if you don't have a dishwasher (or just prefer to wash by hand), don't let it air dry. It will rust if water drops are left on them. I was able to remove the rust with an SOS pad so no permanent damage was done. Now i wash and dry it immediately after using it.

Excellent for a first collection
This knife is an excellent value for the money. It’s not the greatest chef’s knife available, but for someone starting out, learning to cook, or even just getting their own place and their own knives for the first time, it’s very good, and would make an excellent gift. I had some nice santokus before getting this and I barely touch them. It’s a very sharp knife, easy to sharpen, easy to hold, and excellent for chopping and mincing. It’s currently my favorite knife.
