Works, but not easy to install
So I’ve replaced about a dozen regulators before on different cars and 2nd time on this one. This regulator technically works, but some of the screws were not properly aligned and I had to really push to get everything screwed in. I also had to install it a very specific way since the electrical cable section was a bit too short, a couple inches shorter than the one I took out. I’ve never had this kind of trouble with a regulator install. Took an extra 30 minutes to install to play with it and see if I could get it to work, at two points I thought it wouldn’t work. Old one just popped right out no issue. Hopefully new one lasts for awhile.I would have bought a better replacement (you get what you pay for I guess) but I needed it ASAP and Amazon’s delivery can’t be beat. Especially for older cars, it can take a week or more to get parts with the supply chain problems, and Amazon got it to me in 2 days.Oh one more thing, could use more padding in the box, since it’s a weird shaped item in a largish box. Maybe it bent slightly in transit. Box was clearly beat up from part sliding around in it, with a couple holes where it appeared the metal part hit it repeatedly.

Twice the time to install - not an OEM exact replacement
The unit will retrofit into a 2004 Honda Odyssey with some minor problems - it's not an OEM exact replacement.1) There are no cable clips on the new unit which is very important to avoid the cable from flopping and eventually being cut by the sheet metal. It was necessary to transfer the two cable clips from the original cable to the new cable. One clip fits into the electrical plug, the other around the cable about 3 inches back from the plug. I used a jeweler's flat edge screwdriver (very small) to slide between the plug and clip to release the clip. I used the same jeweler's screwdriver to release the pawl on the wire clip.2) The cable on the new unit is not long enough out-of-the-box. The new unit had the cable secured to the motor with electrical tape about 3 inches from the connection to the motor. I removed the tape and secured the cable to the motor with fresh electrical tape about 1/2 inch from the motor connection. The extra two or so inches was enough to allow the cable to fasten with the clips to the door like the original. Note that the original cable plugged into the motor, but the new unit was hard wired. Had it been plugged, one could swap the cables to solve the problem.3) The 10mm bolts which hold the motor to the door frame are quite short, but the original bolts are 3x as long. The new motor mounts will not accepts the old, longer bolts. So I used the original longer bolts for the initial installation to make it easier to fit, then replaced the longer bolts with the shorter bolts which came with the unit. Also note that the bolts were nickel plated where the originals had a brass colored finish. After the mods, the unit did work well and no problem so far. It would have been nice to have received a unit that was like-for-like with the OEM unit. That could have been done for what seems like small change which I would have gladly paid. So the installation took twice as long.Dorman, please take note. At least include the clips in the over pack if you don't want to absorb the cost of labor to install them on the unit.

Non-engine related parts like these are the only category of parts I ever ...
Had it on my 2002 Odyssey since late 2017. Non-engine related parts like these are the only category of parts I ever consider buying from an aftermarket company. I've been a mechanic for far too long, so trust me when I say that if you use aftermarket engine sensors, powertrain, or transmission parts you're gambling with a lot of money and the good chance of doing the job twice. I'm happy to say that this Dorman window regulator has worked out great so far, and came with everything you need to replace it. Was a considerable difference from the E Honda unit. Nice change from all the typical Chinese aftermarket junk out there. I'll post if it breaks!

Works just like the original OEM nice and fast up and down with no hiccups.
Excellent product. I bought a warehouse deal and saved almost $10 because only the packaging was damaged. A new OEM Honda part was 3 times the cost and this Dorman Window regulator was an almost exact replica of the OEM. Window goes up and down very fast and everything is working like new. I believe these Dorman regulators have a lifetime warranty which is a big plus. This is about a 2 hour job for your average shade tree mechanic. I found that the new regulator window glass mount is from the factory made to be lined up with the 2 holes in the door panel so once you secure the top and bottom regulator bracket, the window glass mount holes will be even with the holes in the door panel. Use a couple pieces of tape to hold the window up where the window regulator glass mount holes are even with the holes in the door panel. You can watch a video on the opposite of me tube to see how this is installed. I don't know why a few other reviewers are having problems. I have several other vehicles that I have installed Dorman window motors on and they have been working fine for several years now. Perhaps every now and then someone gets a bad one because the Dorman employee in the China factory is new and being trained on the quality control assembly line and ends up overlooking some. Who knows? I have bought some auto parts that are made in China and they have lasted for years while other parts have lasted only weeks or months so I always look for a lifetime warranty on parts, name brands that are well known, and good reviews before I buy. BTW, I've been working on vehicles for 30 years as a shade tree mechanic.

Not the easiest, but you can do it.
I got this for my 2004 Honda Odyssey when the window broke and was unsure of how difficult a task it would be to install myself. There's plenty of videos online that'll give you the breakdown and they say 30 mins, but they don't consider first timers. After about 2 hrs plenty of sweat and enough expletives to have filled all the swearjars in Canada, I did manage to get it in and man did I feel accomplished. It's not as hard as you might think, but it will take some time, that being said, this saved me a lot of money and works great. There is one spot where the holes for the screw don't quite line up, but don't fully tighten everything and you can get them all in. Otherwise you will still have enough hold for it to work.Overall tldr; takes some time and swearing, but you'll get it in there.
