Courage: The Joy of Living Dangerously
G**T
My favorite Osho book so far
Osho was prolific - and I'm only starting to delve into his huge canon of work. The Joy of Living Dangerously may be one of the best books written on individuality. What makes Osho compelling is his ability to create a picture for the reader - strong examples, compelling arguments and reasoning (for lack of better terms since Osho isn't "arguing" his point) which will enlighten and illuminate any reader. The book is ideal for anyone who feels stuck in life; a relationship; etc - sure, many wise authors will offer views that may overlap with what you read here. But the real reason to get this is for Osho's effortless ease of writing - his simplicity and straightforward style is hard to better and makes this enjoyable if thought provoking to read. I had some "a-ha" moments and I'm sure you will too.

People who want to take risk, should read this book.
I gave this book five stars.Osho did a great job explaining the definition of courage. I thought courage and bravery go together, but osho says that bravery is a coward upside down because people try to repress it. Osho says courage is accepting fear and still face it head on, to become fearless. Osho talks about about risk taking, like whenever there a opportunity go for it, don't let your mind try to stop you. He also says they the greatest fear of all people is other people opinions and when you stop caring about what other people think you become a lion. Osho has some more wisdom but I'm not going to give them away, you have to read them yourself. This book is going to help me because I'm going to take risk, face my fears, stop caring about what people think, and lived dangerously.

Fascinating!
Osho takes you from the realm of conformity in life as its been taught to us; blend in, be like everyone else, dress properly, choose the right friends and so on.....to a new way of thinking. He is leading the reader down the path to enlightenment, one that is difficult to comprehend and likely impossible for us to achieve. Although I do not agree with everything he says, I do believe the we all live in fear of the unknown and primarily death. Courage, who couldn't do with a little more of that....self confidence...patience ...love...understanding and a little less of worrying about what people think of us and conforming whether we like it or not. A very freeing idea to just be yourself, but not quite as easy as it sounds.

Very enjoyable easily readable book.
Osho always has awesome ideas and insights into the nature of mind and reality, and this book is no exception.I must admit it starts a little slow, and with my short attention span I found it slightly boring in the beginning chapters. As the book got going however it felt like one profound insight after another. His simple method of writing is pleasant and makes it easily understandable, I didn't find myself re reading pages very often like you often have to in spiritual and psychology books.Anyone looking for a good book on insight into the mental "mechanics" behind our fears, or anyone that loves psychology you will find this interesting. For those out there looking for a self help or book with "methods" this is not for you though. There is no methods of enlightenment or practice in here.Cheers!

Second time reader
I read this book in my early 20's and it was very enlightening and life changing. And I really appreciate that experience. This was a liberating experience (the book was not in english thought...maybe thats why it feels so different)Now im in my 30's facing spiritual crisis. I got this book and .... no... it is not mind blowing and enlightening anymore. The great thing that Osho fails to explain that feeling of present moment. He is good at calling you to rebel....and be different. For those who have already passed the point of "icebreaking" this book is quite useless. One can see a lit of controversies (again maybe translation fault). In the beginning Osho advises to be like "a grass" vs "rigid tree"...and on the very next chapter he calls one to rebel and go against. Then he is sayong that everything is in God's hands and the very next page he says that You are the only one who is responsible for everything. Can be quite confusing.Book is effeminately thought provoking, bit to follow blindly each advise in quite insane. Osho is difenately not an ordinary man but sometime we outgrow some books, just lime we have outgrew childhood fairy-tales

One of my favourite OSHO books of all time
OSHO international over the years has complied many of OSHO falls and lectures and transferred them Into books of various themes. In this one OSHO digs deep into the meaning of courage and how to live your life fully. Included are meditations to help you deepen your connection to your inner self and overcome fear. This book is for everyone !!

Osho ❤
The book begins with an in-depth exploration of the meaning of courage and how it is expressed in the everyday life of the individual. Unlike books that focus on heroic acts of courage in exceptional circumstances, the focus here is on developing the inner courage that enables us to lead authentic and fulfilling lives on a day-to-day basis. This is the courage to change when change is needed, the courage to stand up for our own truth, even against the opinions of others, and the courage to embrace the unknown in spite of our fears-in our relationships, in our careers, or in the ongoing journey of understanding who we are and why we are here.Courage also features a number of meditation techniques specifically designed by Osho to help people deal with their fears.
