Good dehumidifier at the right price
I bought this dehumidifier for under a grand. I could have gotten 3-4 cheap dehumidifiers for the price of this one but this one is much more satisfying to own. Made in the USA so that is good. It seems to do just fine in my approximately 800 sq ft basement. I believe these machines have much better instrumentation so that they can turn off and on reliably if you use a set point such as 50% humidity. The pump is handy and that is a big reason to get a dehumidifier such as this. I only had one issue. During my first use, the machine shut down after a bit and gave an error code. I pulled off the case top and saw water pooled up inside. It looked like a water level sensor was submerged in water. I wasn't sure if the pump was running but I eventually found the inlet location and could feel the rotor spinning. Long story short, the pump was not anchored to the case. Either it was never installed properly or it came loose during shipping. The pump has a rubber expansion plug which fits into a hole to hold the pump in place. Once I located the pump properly, the unit began pumping water as designed.I was just about to box it back up and return it to Amazon. Thankfully I found the pump issue before going through the trouble. It doesn't take long to rack up hours - mine probably has 350 hrs on it already. The display is nice that it collects total hrs and job hours. It also displays inlet/outlet temperature and humidity levels.

Horrible
Horrible . Bought 2 of these units . The first ones pump stop working after about 2 weeks . The following week the other units purge pump went out . Manufacturer warranty is a joke . They made me dismantle the unit and remove safety valves so the pump would work more freely. One of them worked the other did not . What's the point in spending all that money on a item if the warranty requires you to do the labor . But as always thanks to Amazons Great customer service I was refunded even tho the manufacturer said the wouldn't. Thank you Amazon for great service. Dri eaze should learn a thing or two from Amazon as far as how to treat customers who spend over $1400 on their equipment.

Dri-Eaz PHD 200 provides value in a small, package.
I wanted to purchase a dehumidifier to control the humidity in my crawl space with an application to provide remote control and monitoring. I found what appeared to be an excellent choice; but, the unit would not fit the crawl space access door (or fit in the low overhead of my crawl space). Narrowing my search to a unit requiring less than 13” in one dimension, I located the Dri-Eaz PHD 200. This unit had the required pump and suitable size for my crawl space. In spite of negative reviews, the description sounded like a good fit. Upon arrival, the unit seems to be well designed and built. It was easy to move into position and connect. The instructions made it appear to be self controlling with supplied defaults. I am using a remote temperature/humidity sensor to monitor the crawl space conditions. The unit seems to be cycling properly and pumping out water on a regular basis. After 10 days of operation, I am quite happy with my decision.

Weak condensation pump.
When I purchased my PHD 200, August 2019, the description stated the unit could pump the condensation out with a 20 feet hose (included) but not more than 3 feet above the unit. Based on that information I purchased it. As I write the review today, I see the description has changed and no longer makes this claim. I don't have a floor drain and needed to get the condensation 12 inches above the unit and 15 feet horizontally to exit my crawl space. Long story short and on my second pump, my unit cannot do anything close to that. I even had to remove the check valve to prevent the unit from shutting down due to a blocked hose alert. My current configuration is the PHD 200 pumps the condensation into a bucket directly under the unit. I will need to purchase some sort of sump or condensation pump to get move the condensation out of the crawl space. If you have a floor drain, and can locate the dehumidifier near the darin, then I think this may be a good unit. I like the overall construction and love the optional hanging straps. For my situation, the pump is unsatisfactory and I would not purchase this unit again.

Updated Was: Not fit for purpose, total waste of money. Now: After a repair, it has been excellent
Updated from 1 star to 3.If it had worked from day one as it does now then it would have received 5 starsThe supplier reached out to me and the unit was upgraded under warranty and has been faultless since. I still wouldn't put somewhere that isn't readily accessible but that is based on my personal experience.Original ReviewBought to remove moisture from closed spaceProsRemoves a lot of waterConsDoesn't restart on power loss, so needs to easily accessible to manually restart.Fails with block pipe after two hours, this is consistent. As per manual, the first three failures I stripped the system down. Pump is clear, pipe is clear, check valve is clear. Now I don't strip it down, I just power cycle and all is fine.Manufacturer - non existent supportSupplier - non existent support

Great unit, but a little loud
Working great so far after 4 months. It replaced a different Drieaz model that only lasted 2-1/2 years (that one had the computer board die under warranty, then the entire unit died after the warranty ended). So, I'm a little concerned about how long it will last especially since these are not cheap. Also, it is louder than the model it replaced and can be heard easily inside the house (similar to an older refrigerator). That said, it is a compact unit with a nice cabinet. Seems great if you needed to move it between job sites. The controls are easy to use and easy to read in a dark crawlspace. I used the Drieaz F526 joist strap hangers, which worked great for quickly mounting this off the ground and leveling it and helped the overall review rating.
