Great Reel!
Best value for your money of all secondary drag reels. I have had Shimano Baitrunner reels ever since they came out with the model around 20 years ago. Those reels still work great. Just bought two of these in the last year to add to my surf fishing arsenal. The cast great, have a strong drag, and reel smooth as butter. Awesome reels! I tried a Penn Liveliner in between and it failed on the second time I used it. Go with Shimano as they always build high quality products.

My Second Shimano Baitrunner Reel
My first Shimano Baitrunner reel lasted over 8 years and helped me catch numerous yellowfin tuna and other pelagic species. The drag system on this bait runner D reel is just as smooth and very reliable. It easily handled the strong runs from a 13 lb yellow fin tuna I caught from my kayak. The bait runner system is outstanding!

Great workhorse, but check for quality initially.
Been using this reel for about a year and couldn't be happier with the performance. This is a solidly built, and beautiful looking reel. I've used it to pull in King Salmon, Halibut, and Lingcod out of the SF Bay Area. Even after a year of good use its still in tip-top condition and will surely keep bringing in many more fish for me over the years. I originally got this reel after going on a fishing charter and using it there. The charter was run by a commercial halibut fisherman who has been doing his craft for 30 years. He swore by this Shimano reel, and I can see why now. Customer Note: I just recently bought a second TLD-15 reel from Amazon, and after spooling the line on it, I realized that the lever drag was not doing its job. The drag was just not holding, and the line was almost free-spooling even with the max drag set. Definitely test your reels asap after buying to make sure you're not getting something with a potential defect. Maybe choose to buy it locally instead if you're not a skilled fisherman yet, so you can get it spooled and tested at the shop first properly

this is my first Shimano and i must say i love it it handles big cats easily. will def be getting another one for my 2nd pole

Reel for life
Solid smooth reel that doesn’t tangle much unless you use it wrong. Honestly all complaints are when they use it wrong. It fits a lot of like, it’s smaller than my other one that fits less like. It’s expensive but I’m gonna have it for life.

Ojo, no entra en todos los portacaretes
El carrete tiene muy buena pinta, el único inconveniente para mí, es que la manivela de recogida de línea está en la mano derecha y yo estoy acostumbrado hacerlo con la izquierda ... mucho cuidado con la caña que lo vais a utilizar, yo lo compré para usarlo con una caña de jiging con el kayak y no entraba en el potacarrete , por este motivo lo devolví ...

Il tld15 è una garanzia ormai da anni
È il tld15. Non c'è altro da dire. Ormai è diventato una garanzia. Semplice e funzionale, fa quello che promette, né più né meno. Lo uso da anni per vari tipi di traina, da quelle più leggere a quelle un pochino più impegnative. Mai un cedimento o qualche rumore strano. Il prezzo è assolutamente onesto. Ovviamente va fatta una buona manutenzione, e non ci tradirà mai.

Sie ist top extrem stark. Eine multirolle braucht leverdrag nie wieder ohne leverdrag . Nicht zum weit auswerfen eher vom boot zu benutzen .
