DOSS SoundBox Pro+ Bluetooth Speaker,Immersive 24W Stereo, Booming Bass

I received this speaker as a Christmas gift in 2022. When I first tried to get it to work, I couldn't get it to sync to my laptop computer. I tried messing with it for a while, but finally gave up. I got frustrated because it was just one more thing I had to deal with, and I wasn't in the mood and I didn't want to deal with returning it, so I set it aside. Fast forward to March when I noticed it sitting near my desk. I decided to give it another go since my mother-in-law had taken up to watching shows/movies with me on my laptop. I have been trying to wean her off cable, since AT&T has gotten beyond ridiculous with their TV prices and my wife, and I hardly ever watch cable anymore. Anyway, when I first turned it on, it automatically synced to my laptop. Back in December, I couldn't even get the colors on the speaker to work. Great, it's working (even the colors). so, my mother-in-law and I used the speaker for a few hours, and it worked really well. My 83-year-old mother-in-law really liked it. She said it was nice not having to strain to listen to the show. Even with her hearing aids she has some difficulty hearing. Then I go to use it a second time, and it doesn't work! Now I was really frustrated, but I decided to try and figure out why it stopped working. While messing with it, I decided to choose the headphone mode while in my settings on my laptop. Why not I tried everything else I knew to do, and boom, it worked. There is about 5 to 20 seconds of silence before the sound comes through the speaker when you first turn it on. Now that I can get it to work like it is supposed to, I love it. It has really good sound and the lights are fun. The only issue I still have, is that when I check the battery level for the speaker on my computer it is consistently showing a low battery level even though I have tried to charge it both through my laptop and by connecting it to a wall outlet. The red light goes out after a while when it is plugged in, which to me indicates the battery has been charged. I have used it for several hours and it hasn't quit yet. I decided not to charge it for a while and see what happens. If I can't get it to charge, I will be back to change my review. Update. I let the battery fully discharge while watching a show. I then charged it using my laptop. After a while it did show a full charge and it seems to be keeping up with the amount of charge that should be left based on my usage.

1 just for my tv, using the aux cable & input. 2 for using the Bluetooth stereo pairing feature with my computer &/or phones. Easy to use them inside or outside. The sound is just amazing for their size. This is exactly what I was looking for. The sound out of these are way better than my computer speakers (IMAC), smart phones (Samsung & iPhone) & tv & better than the other cheapy Bluetooth sound bars I’ve tried. I use the aux input when watching tv & use the Bluetooth with my phones & computers. I record music & have a set of Powerful stereo speakers with a sub already so when I play with my synthesizer/keyboard using it with my computer, recording music or playing music, I use those when I need to play sound loud. But I have to turn on all the equipment just to get good sound quality when I need to just use the computers. I needed a speaker with an aux input to use with my tv, & I took an interest in this brand/model speaker so when I just want to play with my phones or use my computers using Bluetooth I could get good quality sound & these things do the job perfectly/nicely!!!! Way Less expensive than JBL’s or Sony’s or Bose for the stereo pair. Pairing 2 together is a plus & it’s easy to pair setting them up. The sound quality is really good. Not low quality at all. These have a Bass boost feature. They don’t distort when full blast. Perfect for my sweet spot. I grabbed a pair of these in my favorite color (blue) for stereo pairing use, they sound great, or you can just use the one by itself, it sounds great, & the lights are a plus. These are Way Better than the $20/30/40 Bluetooth speakers & comes with lights. I don’t know yet about the battery life. They’re just for use when I’m relaxing with my phones, or using with the computers so they are plugged in all the time (always fully charged). I am totally impressed with this brand & model. If your a sound junkie & could afford it go with the expensive ones (JBL’s, Sony, Bose). If your just looking for an inexpensive quality Bluetooth speaker or pair these are pleasers. I am a very happy camper & glad I bought these. Highly recommended! I’ll buy these again if or when I need to.

great value great sound

Title says all. The other reviews will tell you most of what you really need to know, so I'll just add a few caveats, things the manual does not state: (1) Advertised battery life is 15 hours, as long as you don't use lights or extra bass. In my practical day to day experience, in the way I use it, for occasions when I really want some volume, (meaning it's not my normal day to day BT speaker), I get 10 hours. (2) Speaking of the extra bass, they really shouldn't have called it "extra" bass, and merely called it "bass." It's because, even if you set your source material's EQ curve or present to be bassy, there won't really be any out of this speaker with the "extra" bass button off. You'll need to have it on in order to have any bass. (3) The sounds that sound like telephone busy signals, two each spaced out from time to time, are the low battery indicator, and in my estimation, they seem to start when battery life is at 1%. That is one of my pet peeves about many BT speakers, that they start whatever their battery life is low warning is, way too soon, circa 15% battery life left. And sometimes, said warning is intrusive, and interferes with whatever you're listening to. This device starts the warning at the correct interval, IMHO, at 1% left, and does not much interfere with what you're listening to. (4) It's pretty big, with decent materials, especially along the right and left facing sides. It is actually heavier than it looks. (5) I generally find the lighting schemes to be cheesy, but every once in awhile, with the right song, they can be entertaining. (6) Overall sound quality is not the best, even among BT speakers I own, and I don't own any expensive ones. But that's to be expected for the price point. It does get plenty loud.

Holds charge for a long time, sounds great

I have had this speaker for 4 years and have used the heck out of it. Its been accidentally left outside in snow, rain, and 100° temps and was perfectly fine. I use it daily and loved it! But it will no longer charge and i believe its because the port to plug the cord into is broken. Im sad I can't use it anymore! Hoping to get another one some day, because this speaker outlasted all the others I have tried, and sounded better than them too! The bluetooth has a pretty far reach, and i took this speaker everywhere. Its been dropped, partially ran over (that was year one), snowed on, rained on, kicked (accidentally lol), left in 100° sun, forgotten in below freezing temps, pecked on by chickens... you name it and this thing has probably lived through it. As you can tell by the photo, this speaker has been put thru it and still sounded amazing. Taken out by its own charging port. RIP.

This is one of two I purchased so that I could link them. These have great sound. Bass quality is phenomenal. I use on my Stand up paddle board and my husband has the other. When linked and connected to my phone music app we have awesome SUP music! I just got back from Hawaii and took them with me! They are truly water proof. and although a bit heavy they are great quality in every way. Charge quickly, and hold a charge for ALLLLLL day! I take to work at the grocery store when I stock freight and play music. Lots of folks have asked me about them and I give them the link to this speaker. We even use on our party barge as volume is quite sufficient.

The people at DOSS do a horrible job of describing set-up for a non-audiophile like me....so here's my "Cliffs Notes" info on set-up. This is to set-up two speakers in "party mode" and stereo. Start with the speaker that will be the master: Turn on speaker and pair with signal source. Press and release volume (+ or -) multiple times to adjust volume (note it works in increments...you can not just press and hold). Press and release "MODE" button three time to set lights into "party mode". Now turn on the second speaker that will be the slave. Press the "ADD" button on the master speaker. At this point you should have a fun setup with both speakers changing colors and lighting to the beats of the music. I hope this helps.

love the speaker for a speaker thats small on form it delivered above its own "size" the bass is just so super soothing. Got bit of trouble setting it up coz i didnt realise that i need press "mode" button to get it to aux mode, it was at default aux, but i was trying hard n must have press mode n got it to something else without realise that the lights on power button meant something. Quite confusing coz no LCD display. Wish next gen DOSS speakers take this seriously into consideration. I have to also try to "+" to go to max vol but since no display have to go by my ears n i kept hearing beeps n boops loudly everytime i press "+" n i try "-" n indeed sound lower in vol, so adjust again till it sounds exactly the same. On my old speaker with LCD display by Musky it was 22 when my PC vol was just 17, WOW! overall impress with the quality of this speaker at 24w i pay less than even $70sgd. What a great deal and freebie delivery, whats not to like?😍 😘
