Remote Control with Bluetooth, Speech, and Netflix Button Batteries Included

My Altice box came with a remote that didn’t work well. It was very frustrating changing a channel or navigating the menu. The lag time was horrible.I called Optimum and they suggested I visit the nearest store for a replacement. I would have spend more money on gas not to mention the time spend so I opted buying this remote at Amazon instead.The remote does not work immediately . You have yo go to the Altice menu settings, choose remotes and program it. The whole process takes 3 minutes.It works great, it’s responsive and worth every penny.

It worked no hassle

This remote is perfect, easy to use, and was sent to me brand-new. However, I bought it to be the second for our living room tv, but we had no idea that there cannot be two remotes paired to the same set! Will hold on to it, just in case we are in need of another.

I had the Suddenlink Altice system installed about two weeks ago. This is the same remote that I got from the company. I like to have a remote by each recliner. But, unfortunately, this system will only allow one remote per TV. If you program a second one, it knocks out the programming on the first one. Not good.I like to always have an extra new remote close by because they tend to start wearing out and a few keys becoming unresponsive after a year or so. It’s worth it to me to have this one as a future replacement rather than having to drive across town and stand in line to get it replaced at the Suddenlink office.This remote has no dedicated program guide button. To see the guide, you have to hit the Altice button at the top to get to the main menu, then scroll to the right one click to the guide and then press select. Much more tedious than previous remotes which had a guide button. Also, there is no way to view a single channel vertically to see its extended schedule. You could on the older model remote for the DVR box.The box turns itself off after the TV has been off for four consecutive hours so you have to use the remote to turn it on in the mornings before turning on the TV.I don’t know about the battery life yet as I have haven’t been using it very long.Also note that there are no written instructions for programming the guide to the TV. The product description shows a photo of written instructions, but be advised they are not included. All you get is the remote and the batteries. Fortunately, there are YouTube videos which describe the procedure, but written instructions would have been great to have.

It changed the channels but didn't work for the volume up or down

Couldn't reach the seller to return it.

I like the fact that once I install the batteries the remote works as well as the original remote.

I finally upgraded my cable service and a day after the install lost the doggone remote. Of course there's an app for the service but it's limited in functionality and inconvenient. This replacement is cheaper than the cable company charges and worked as soon as I popped in the included batteries.
