This is a simply, effective, and humane training tool. It requires no negative interaction between you and your cat, nor any physical or emotional harm to your cat. Simply apply the easy to stick on tape to furniture or other objects the cat has been scratching or otherwise harming. Also apply to places you do not wish the cat to occupy. Since the cat hates sticky paws when in contact with the tape, it leaves immediately. I usually leave it in place for a week to give the cat time to learn to keep off forbidden areas. I have used this method for many years with several cats and it works every time. No more scratching etc. Some cats will need a refresher after several months when they think that the coast is clear. Simply repeat the training for as long as it takes your cat to learn.The tape will pull away with wear and on some fabrics. It can be put back or you may need a new strip here and there. It has never damaged anything in my home. Since it works quickly, it it easy to put up with a little sticky inconvenience for a while.

I purchased a different product for countertops which really worked well to deter my cat from jumping on the counter, but it was very hard to remove. So I needed to buy a roll of tape to cover a large piece of cardboard over my dining room table because I didn't want the tape to ruin the finish. This tape worked well for that. My cat hates the "sticky" feel so keeps off the table. If I have guests over, I remove the cardboard to the garage and replace it after they leave. He doesn't jump on the table anymore, but I will keep it on there for just a while longer, just to be sure. I should e bought the larger roll to cover more area.

This is a nice heavy material and the cats do not scratch it’s surface. I find that where door trim boards are set slightly back and on some square stair rail posts it does not stick well and I need to keep pushing it down when I walk past. Not a game changer but a bit of an irritant.

I had high hopes for this anti-scratch tape to protect my furniture, but the results were mixed. While it did deter my cat from scratching in some areas, it didn't seem to be very effective overall. Additionally, I found that it left a sticky residue on my fabric furniture, which was a bit disappointing. It's not a total loss, as it did offer some protection, but I wish it had worked better without causing any damage to my furniture.

This product was purchased because our cat would scratch against the door in the bedroom in order to wake us up. It was an annoying habit the cat did that got the desired results for him. We couldn't find a solution until reading about putting tape on a couch to stop a cat from scratching. we hoped we could apply this to the door. you wouldn't think it would be so annoying but it was believe me. We put this up the door from the ground about 3 feet all the way across the door. and from the first night it has worked and has continued to work every night since. this product does what it says. As far as removal we can update if we ever do so. the cat has scratched at it a few times but hasn't caused damage, it was a scratch attempt out of habit that lasted one or two swiped before deciding he didn't like it and stopped. Now if they could get it to not look like tape it would be perfect, Do keep in mind it is tape, so it will naturally collect dust, hair, other debris. It will also look like bubbly tape on a door. not pretty but gets the job done.Update******************************After about 4 months it will be necessary to reapply new tape. I know this is a no brainer that tape eventually looses adhesive power. This applies to the exposed side of tape due to dust and cat hair sticking to it. But I though I would share what that time frame is for this product.

I bought this tape to use on the sides of my couch to prevent my cats scratching at it. Thankfully my cats didn’t scratch it, but instead the tape ruined my couches! Every single piece left a thick layer of sticky residue all over that I couldn’t remove, no matter what product I used. Now I have to pay $500 to my apartment for leaving residue all over the couches thanks to this tape that is “safe for furniture”. DO NOT PURCHASE

The day I received tape I placed on corners of furniture and on places my cats were prone to scratching , as soon as I was done my cats avoided my furniture like the plague, of course I have scratching posts but all cat owners know how furniture attracts those talons and they love sinking them into or climbing up on backs or sides with them, not now they don’t, when I cook I have a piece of cardboard covered in this tape on one side and it keeps them off counters and off table, this is a wonderful value too, oh and whenever company comes I just remove tape and after visit replace it, the tape is pretty thick so it’s not going to break or tear while applying and it’s easy to apply takes less than 5 minutes to put on couch and chairsIf you got house panthers and they use furniture for scratching posts I highly recommend this product .

AMAZNG my cat stopped scratching and crying at my bedroom door (at 4:30 in the morning) the first night I used it. I highly recommend this product! Give it a try.

My cat is totally perplexed! She has plenty of cat scratch boxes , posts, Feliway everything but nothing stops her scratching and ruining my sofa . I bought the larger wider tape - recommended!! So far only one strip per area at her height has been needed . I’m only a week in and she can’t make out why her claws get stuck to her favourite haunts . She has completely stopped scratching!! I told my vet and they were astonished as they had never heard of this product ! I’ve owned cats all my life so that’s about 35 years and this is the best thing ever !I’m a genuine reviewer and I hope you will be happy with the tape also . As I say the 3 inch wider version is best .

I've ordered this a a few times. I have cats that destroy things with their claws (not intentionally...that's just how they sharpen and shed their claws). The first two times this double sided tape was brilliant. Eventually, though the cats pick away and I have to replace it. This time, the tape I received - same brand, same vendor, same description - came very thick, and there was no way to peel off the backing for it to be double sided tape. It's just a thick tape with the top side glossy. So it's utterly useless to me. I tried to return it but I missed the window by a few days so I'm stuck with it. I'd order it again if I thought the next batch would be double sided again, but given that others have experienced the same disappointment, I'll have to find another brand. Waste of my time given the wait, and of course, waste of money, too
