Excellent for the Older Crowd.
I got this phone for my 93 year old Dad because his original phone decided to final stop working. It took only a few minutes to plug the cords in and get it going. He likes the large numbers and the speaker function makes it easy to talk to people. For the price it is an excellent choice for someone getting up there in years and needs an easy to use desk phone.

decent large landline phone for my dad
Purchased this phone for my elderly father who lives in assisted living period. He has hearing, speech, grip, and mobility issues that affect his ability to use a telephone without assistance. The phone has a speaker phone for a hands free option and this is particularly helpful for conference calls. There are 3 memory buttons you can set up to program 3 different numbers for one button push dial. This makes it really easy for my dad to call us if he needs anything in case he forgets our number. When we received the phone we followed the instructions and registered it. When we went to set up the phone we made a mistake without knowing it and plugged the handset into the outjack on the back of the phone. For some reason we completely missed the handset Jack on the side of the phone. Needless to say we didn't get the phone to work and we were very frustrated. The next day I had resigned myself to purchase a different phone when customer service from HePesTer phone reached out to me via text to ask me how it went with. The installation of the phone. I told them that we couldn't get the phone to work and I thought it was defective. They responded with some troubleshooting things to try to see if we could get the phone to work. I was certain I had done everything right? The first time and was reluctant to try but I did anyway. Needless to say when I Followed the customer service reps (THANK YOU, Peggy!) suggestions that's when I discovered the jack for the handset on the side of the phone. I was embarrassed about being such a dimwit. But I was extremely happy that the phone was now working and I didn't have to get a new one after all. My dad absolutely loves the phone it's easy for him to use. I would recommend this phone for anyone.

Died after one month of use
I got this for my 89 year old father who is hard of hearing for Christmas. It seemed perfect. He could hear the loud ring and then talk on the phone again! It was loud and clear. Then it stopped working, at first intermittently - then dead. It took a phone technician to come out and diagnose it because it didn't seem like it could be the phone (he thought it was the phone line). He now has his old one plugged back in. I need to see what kind of warranty information there is directly. Otherwise, it's going in the trash.

Good phone for older person
I bought 2 of these phones for 87 year old. Phones are easy to use. It is difficult to get the jack into the handset, but it does fit. It is a deep seated slot so you have to get it spot on. A little hard to hang on the wall, better used as a table top phone. I bought longer cords so mom could sit on a chair and not have the phone pulled with her.

This phone has large numbers
My mother-in-law has macular degeneration and it is difficult for her to see small numbers. This phone also had two one touch memory dial function buttons for her son and I. The ringer was almost too loud but she loves the phone and now has the ability call other family and friends now that she has less difficulty seeing the numbers.

Product returned for multiple issues.
Phone was packaged nicely, but discovered multiple issues when setting up to use. 1) Handset receiver missing hook and would fall off base mount when base mounted vertically on wall. 2) Base hang-up button did not work or recognize when handset was set down on base. Phone continued to keep line open. Speaker mode was off during this time. 3) Phone kept sending pulse sounds which could be heard on handset receiver even though no buttons were being pressed. Phone switch flipped to dial tone mode, but pulse sounds continued without user input. 4) Unable to make or receive calls from phone. Returned for refund.

Great for handicap use
Phone was purchased for an 88-year-old handicapped woman who has vision impairment for which the large buttons and easy contrast of numbers against background make it easy to use. Also, there aren't a lot of extra features to get in the way of simply picking up the phone and dialing a number and talking. Her old phone had dozens of functions that were activated by pressing one of the keys and it made it almost impossible for her to use the phone because other functions were called into play preventing her from using the phone. It's simple to use, straight forward, has a loud ring. Really likes it.

Great phone for seniors.
Purchased this for my 82 yr old mother-in-law. Wireless phones have become too complicated for her and sometimes she wouldn't push the "hangup" button. This is simple to use with just hanging it up in the cradle. (Or you can use the speaker button.) She loves that the two programmable buttons allowed us to put in ours and her daughter's phone numbers. She doesn't yet need the louder ring so keeps it on low. We both appreciate the large buttons for dialing, no glasses needed.
