My boss is a passionate person, always keeping fresh to new things. During a meeting with our client, he got highly impressed by the speakerphone our client’s using. In the con-call with client’s president, the speakerphone’s well-designed function and extraordinary performance created an enjoyable environment for distant communication. Right after the meeting, boss urged me to purchase one from Amazon. It took me a while to dig out the right one. At first I tried “speakerphone” in the search box, then the Jabra device popped out at the top. Jabra was renowned brand, also their device looked neat, but I knew the triangle shape was clearly not my boss’ type. While I was in dilemma, my boss saved me by taking a glance at my laptop, immediately pointing at a very special one on the screen. It’s eMeet M1, similar size, better price, and finer design, I felt thrilling about the progress. After that, the curiosity was inevitably forcing me to conduct a serious go-through with all the products under “eMeet”. Finally, we met these two options – eMeet M2 with extremely high review score and NOTE N1 newly released as the “most powerful” speakerphone in the world. Another deep diving in hundreds of Amazon reviews and discussing on the real use case in our working, the answer was straight the new NOTE N1!! The 36-months warranty sounded crazy but definitely a strong back, someone posted his experience of using a simple phone call to customer service to replace a whole new M2 after one year’s using. Our concerns about all the unanticipated risks in new product just wept out. Now, after several days of intensive using at work, I am glad that it is the one also pleased to share some recent thoughts about the new thing. - Perfect for small and medium size conference room. Our company owns a couple of small size (less than 20sqm) meeting rooms, so it's a right fit. Every time we are able to enjoy the awesome loudness and clear voice quality very much. - Beyond an alternative to voice recorder. The magic of NOTE N1 must be the capability of flawless voice recording, online voice-to-text, and seamless file sharing, an excellent companion for business meeting. This device is slick. I sought out an alternative to the Polycom speakerphone for my conference table and stumbled across this on Amazon. It does much more than the traditional speakerphone. I connected it to my computer and it does a great job as a microphone and a speaker as well. Documentation is good and the app does a lot as well. Very please with this purchase. *** Update 10-24-19: It broke. Will not turn on. No longer works. Update: 11-4-19: Manufacturer website is down. No apparent way to get it fixed.

Received a unit that was used. Wasn't well packaged and had already been registered so couldn't register the device rendering speech to text useless. eMeet doesn't answer phone but email response was within 2 days. Seller offered to send replacement in several business days so will update review when that occurs. The recorded audio files and very quiet when I listen to the .wav files after connecting the device through USB. There is also a crackling sound when I first power on device and others on the phone complain of an echo when I come off mute. Could be defective unit though since was previously used.

Took too much time to figure out usage. A screen would have been better. There is a language barrier in the quality of translation to English in all manuals. The device is well made and works well as it is described. I really did not like the hidden transcription fee or a major feature that was not disclosed by Amazon or the company that might even be fraud.

I enjoyed this product as it was able to record meetings for a couple of days without requiring to be charged again. The voice to text function could be improved, as the words it wrote were often incorrect. Perhaps other languages have better dictation. Also I have yet to figure out how to get the text documents out of the app. Would be great if there was an online site to sign into to get the recordings and texts from the cloud. The app sometimes sends Chinese notifications to my phone, and I have no idea what it is trying to say. It could be more user friendly.

My first unit was faulty, so customer service promptly sent me a replacement unit. The replacement unit works well. I like that it has an omnidirectional microphone array that will directionally "tune" into whomever is currently speaking and suppress ambient noise. Since I'm deaf, I don't use the speaker functionality. I use the device with my computer running Microsoft Translator or Google Live Caption so that I can follow along in meetings using automatic speech to text technology. So far, it picks up audio very well. The criticisms I have are: * Android app requires very invasive permissions and refuses to function without them. While I understand some of these permissions are required for particular subsets of functionality, it should simply disable that functionality (e.g., saving recordings if I do not wish to provide filesystem access) rather than refusing to load the app. However, with Android 10 out the door, this may be less of an issue since I believe they have a finer-grained permission system that can prevent apps from accessing other files on the phone. * Android app will not connect to corporate wifi networks which require a username in addition to a password to login. * The speaker chimes when I turn it on or off, which is problematic if I arrive late or leave early during a meeting. They have said they now recognize this should be an option that can be disabled and will be adding it to a future software update.

The eMeet Note N1 speakerphone looks stylish and works at very high level of quality with many useful and advanced features such as directional recording, voice to text, role-based and so on. The ring indicator is very fashionable and usage is quite simple. It's straightforward for me to connect to a laptop and a phone. Playing (as a speaker) and recording sound is in surprisingly high quality.

This is my second eMeet purchase. I was introduced to the eMeet M1 by a coworker. The quality of the audio as well as the ease of use made me want my own. I purchased an eMeet M2 last December and it has become an invaluable business tool. I needed a second one for a new location and found the eMeet Note N1. It is of equal quality and usefulness. I highly recommend this product.
