Game changer! I rarely did yoga at home because I hated doing it on the carpet, then I moved and lost access to my favorite yoga studio so my only option was home yoga. This support board is letting me get back into my practice at home! So supportive and feels just like a studio floor even on top of my carpet and area rug. Very happy I purchased!

I should have bought this sooner. I have been looking at it for many months, but hesitating because of the cost. I love to do yoga outside but the uneven ground is a problem, and my concrete patio is too hard even under a good mat.This arrived today, packed well, but easily opened. It is solid but not too heavy to easily move around. Putting it together is not difficult, and once together it has stayed together through a yoga routine.I have a manduka pro mat on it, and kneeling on it is much more comfortable than the same mat over concrete. It matches the size of my mat well, I did not notice any issues with where the handle holes are, or with it bending/bowing at the interlacing join.As long as it holds up, it’s perfect.

We have low pile carpet, but it still isn’t low enough to do yoga on it safely. This is an absolute game changer. I love how portable it is so I can use it in either my bedroom or downstairs in my living room with no issues and have plenty of room.Mat sticks perfectly to it and there is no shifting or sliding on the carpet or with my mat. I wish I would’ve gotten it sooner. There is a little bit of a learning curve for assembly but once you figure it out, it is super easy.It isn’t too heavy for what it provides, but I could see it being heavy for certain individuals so I would try to keep it close to the area you need it most in that instance. I’m so glad I found this option!

I occasionally need to do yoga in a carpeted room upstairs in my house and it is the worst! I had even been contemplating redoing the floors. And then I found this. It’s the perfect solution! It is easy to carry, assemble, and take apart to store. And while it is a bit pricey, it is much less expensive than redoing my floors! It provides the same firm and stable base as my hardwood floors downstairs. It’s exactly what I needed! Highly recommend!

I purchased both this and the Lifeboard. I wanted to test both out. Both boards are very stable of my carpet and upped my yoga game. Both boards fit nicely under my couch (you can't even see). The Rootboard is beautifully made and is perfectly stable (we have new carpet). It is, however, 27 pounds. I am an older woman (65) and want to set myself up to practice as long as possible. I was concerned about the weight moving forward. Consequently, I was leaning towards the Lifeboard.The Lifeboard is considerably lighter. It is plastic and feels like plastic (the Rootboard is somewhat luxurious :-). For me tho, it was tricky to put together. One needs to bend/fold the pieces together (1 piece in each hand and each piece is awkwardly large and 9 lbs). The backside is rougher with a sharp edge. I wond up returning this because I felt the logistics and banging around would be hard on carpet and baseboard.While the Rootboard is heavier, it slides nicely along the carpet and I probably really don't even need to lift it that much. Love it!Th

I originally bought the Root Board. It was very heavy, and the point at which the two pieces came together bowed under my weight (for reference, I am a woman of average height who is not at all overweight). The clips that the Root Board come with did little to resolve the issue. Not to mention, the Root Board came damaged (which I assume happened in transit), so a part of the wood splintered off leaving a rough, exposed area. I returned the Root Board and purchased a Lifeboard. Cheaper. Lighter. Much more supportive and stable at the seam where the two pieces come together. Made of plastic, so no worrying about bumping it and damaging it. Just better all around. This design is much more functional and intentional than the Root Board's. It's a joy to practice on and stays put on carpet. If you're torn between the two, save your money/time and go with the Lifeboard...and that's coming from someone who doesn't mind shelling out a bit more cash on things of value!

I just got this platform and did yoga on it for the first time. It works very well! It took me a minute to figure out how to snap it together, but the interlocking system means it's very stable. I used my Manduka travel mat on it, which is 71x24. I wouldn't want to use a wider mat, because it would hide the handles and I wouldn't want to inadvertently stick my fingers or toes into them. Obviously, given the width, any pose that takes your arms or legs off the mat (wild thing, wide-legged forward fold, savasana) is slightly awkward, but it's workable. Overall I'm very pleased. I only gave it 4 stars, rather than 5, because I agree with other commenters that it seems pretty expensive for what it is. But, I'm sure I'll get quite a bit of use out of it, so overall I find it worth it.*came back to adjust my rating to 5 stars, I have used this pretty much every other day since I bought it in January 2021. It's sturdy and it's still doing a great job. Once in awhile I do occasionally bonk my foot or pinch my finger putting it together, but otherwise it's been a godsend.

I’ve been practicing yoga for 15 years, owned my own studio, taught for 10 years and have been on a teaching hiatus since the middle of Covid. The past year my yoga practice has been pretty much non existant because I moved into an apartment with wall to wall carpet. The plush was ruining my expensive manduka yoga mat causing stretch marks on it. I was hesitant to purchase life board but a yoga teacher left a good review, so I got it and it was worth every penny. Reviews complain about how expensive it is, but I got my yoga practice back! I didn’t realize how much I missed it and I feel amazing because if it. You can’t put a price on that.It’s sturdy. The board comes in 2 pieces and it connects in the middle (width wise not lengthwise) with a zigzag seam. You can stand on the seam and it doesn’t bend or bow. It’s pretty unbelievable.And the bottom is textured so it grips the carpet. It will not slide. You can do jump backs or floats forward and it’ll stay put. I feel safe inverting on it.I honestly can’t say enough good things. I only wish they had more size options so I could have a sturdy surface to bring my workouts back home.Def get one! I highly recommend.
