Cheap, working mechanism for a foldaway bed.
The mechanism is very efficient. The build quality I feel is cheap, but the mechanism is cheap. On the upside, its repairable if the welding fails. The legs supplied are only useful for aligning the bed to the correct hieght. My experience of using the kit is as follows: Once you remove the outside cover, you are exposed to the springs inside. I found that by removing the bolt, I was able to lift off the plate retaining the springs. Now I had the means to mount the plate to the side of my cabinet (I constructed one side of my cabinet and then fitted the inner section of plate). I was then able to mount the section of plate which had the springs to my bed base. When you undertake this part, I found if you mount the legs at the bottom of the bed base, it gives you the required hieght to mount the mechanism against the cabinet. Note: the legs are utter garbage. The weld is weak, poor construction. I just used them for the hieght for the bed mechanism. With my bed base proped up with legs fitted to the end, I was able to align my other side of my cabinet. Once this was aligned. I then fitted the square plate to the bed frame. This part took me quite some time, mainly due to being a fiddly job. However, once bolted onto the bed frame. The only job left is to re-fit the springs. Not knowing any better, I fitted back all the springs. Never, ever do this. For one, it's a pig of a job to fit them back and then you're left with a siege weapon. Personally, start with a maximum of 3 springs, I only used 2 springs when writing this review. The bed base is timber, with a 9mm Plywood base. And it only needs a bit of assistance in raising when you fold the bed away. And when you bring the bed down, it only takes minor assistance. I ended up with many spare springs.

Was in doubt but...
Since there were zero reviews i was a bit in doubt BUT... it was DEFINITELY worth waiting for it :Sturdy, simple construction, as far as Murphy /wall beds go springs for me are the only way to go as struts tend to loose pressure in time - some quite fastIt allows to customise tension, installation instructions are quite simple and obvious, i am VERY pleased w/ the item !!

Easy fit
Don't be put off by some of the negative comments, I'm just an average DIY guy, and found this quite easy if you work it out beforehand.I would recommend it anytime and have only given 4 stars because of the instructions - they were good for lighting the woodburner though!

I hope the quality is better than the instructions.
The instructions are so bad you can’t read the dimensions and I’m sure they not evan got the drawings in correct orientation.Really annoys when piece of paper that costs noting can’t have correct info, shows the company up to be poor quality.Looks like the drawing was done by a 2 year old.

It can be made to work, but you'll need determination and time
I am writing this review to help any poor soul who has bought these bedsprings and has spent days wondering what to do. The makers claim that 1-2 people can put a bed together quickly and easily would only be true if by quickly they meant a week and by easily they meant compared to building your own motor car. As all other reviewers have said the instructions are totally inadequate so here's trying to make up for them.Cabinet side panels must be 380 mm wide for the box plate to fit onto them. I managed to get my cabinet panels the correct distance apart by calculation but its not really advisable because they have to be millemetre perfect and how much play would you allow for? However if it helps you, I set my 210x80mm rectangular plates fully into the bedframe (5mm each) and added 60mm (total) to my bed width. However, I would advise that you fix one panel to the wall (I used a 2x2 panel support screwed to the wall first) and screw the panel to it on the inside of the 2x2. Then fix both spring boxes to the bed frame. There's a Youtube video under the heading RanBB (which is the same kit) where you can see how to do this job setting the 210x80 rectangular plate recessed 4mm into the bedframe to take strain away from the bolts holding it on. Yes, you do have to take the plate off the part that holds the springs, so that you can get all 6 bolts threaded into it.When calculating how high up on the cabinet panels you need the box plate its helpful to know that the bottom corner of the bed will be 140mm higher when the bed is pulled down..Regarding the number of springs to use, I found that for a 200 x 150 king size bed and matress I needed them all. Unfortunately the amount of adjustment on the spring box is very minimal but I needed mine stretching the springs as much as possible. My bed was as light as I could make it with 8mm interior cladding on the bottom. I started with 18mm ply but abandoned that idea. It added too much weight.I would never buy another one of these kits. There's a neat idea I've lately seen on youtube where the springs are attached to a floor bar and to the head end of the bed frame. It's easier to make beds by trial and error and fit springs till it works than ever mess about with one of these kits again. I hope this helps somebody.

Instructions extremely unclear, terrible product
Couldn’t tell you wether the product itself is good at this point , coz the instructions on how to fit this product literally tell you how to mount it , it does not tell you any sizes of anything to make your life easy I am having to build a mock-up to see how the product works to then take it apart and build the build the right bed , therefore this product does not explain anything clearly and all the fittings do not go with it. What a waste of time! I submit the actual instructions that come with this product in the picture… loads of bolts that don’t fit anything

Not exactly what expected
Not sure if due to the fact I have horizontal Murphy bed but this mechanism is not helping to lift the bed at all. It's quite solid but not very precise made swing mechanism have some discrepancy in thickness when it swings back and to front and it can measure anything between 30-36mm witch makes it hard made frame the right size.
