Cuts aluminum great!
I put this blade on my 14" wood bandsaw, as I am cutting aluminum much more than wood. So far I'm extremely pleased with how well this cuts 1/8" (3mm) thick 5052 aluminum sheet. I had been using a wood blade, which worked, but not as well.

Great metal cutting blade
I have a 14" floor model Rikon bandsaw which I also purchased from Amazon and which has performed well as a wood cutting saw. I was asked to cut a few extruded aluminum bars, but was unsure if my saw could be used for that purpose. I purchased the Imachinist bi-metal bandsaw blade for this specific purpose. I needent have worried...my saw (and particularly the new blade) handled the task to perfection. It was like having a 93 1/2 inch hacksaw., It cut through the aluminum stock as if it was butter. I needed to make around 10 cuts and had the job done in about 10 minutes or less. One word of caution which I received from my son: "Make sure you vacuum out the aluminum particles from your saw as prolonged exposure by your belt drive might cause premature failure of your belt drive." This is not a big deal...just use your shop vac to clean up the filings. Great saw and the perfect belt for the job.

Weld Quality Good But Not Excellent
Just installed today on my Delta/Rockwell 14 inch saw. On these blades the weld quality is critical and that is where they often fail. The weld on this example was almost invisible and thickness very uniform. Back edge straightness also excellent.Once it was running, however, there was a noticeable side-to-side kink at the weld. I do not know if this occurred during manufacture or during my installation. I was able to straighten it carefully but now I worry about how long it will last. Welds should be as straight as the rest of the blade. This will be used mostly to cut stainless so i will get a chance to see just how good the M42 teeth are.

Top shelf, scary sharp in extruded 6061
Eats 6061 frighteningly fast, 2k+ parts and was going like new, dulled when I used it on poorly cleaned sand castings, the reason should be obvious, sand always wins. Don't let your shop idiot run a saw with this unless you like workman's comp claims over missing fingers, blows through 0.5"x1" 6061 while you glance over your shoulder. I have re-bought multiple times and keep spares on hand, great product. Does like a touch of cutting fluid every few cuts, I use a little shot of wd-40 or similar (diesel) every 5 -10 cuts.

Weld seam.
Its a good blade for the money but there is a ripple/wave where the two ends have been welded. You can see and heard it when it runs through the guides. It should come out with a few well placed hammer blows but I shouldn't have to.
