I don't leave reviews usually. I'm 25 years old and have always struggled with some minor acne, but after switching birth control methods, my skin freaked out and I had an episode of severe acne ALL OVER my face. I was mortified--I'm 25 years old and have tried everything to keep my skin clear. I see a dermatologist and have a skincare regimen, but nothing ever works. I made an appointment with my dermatologist, who couldn't see me for a month. So I got on Amazon and searched for a miracle. Enter this Mario Badescu kit...When my package came I was hesitant. Honestly the packaging looks cheap and the stuff smells bad (boyfriend made sure to let me know) BUT I used the cleanser, the special cucumber "lotion" (which is more like a toner honestly), and the sulfur drying cream every morning and evening for two weeks and voila--clear skin! I will admit, it did dry out my skin, but nothing unmanageable: I used their provided moisturizing lotion every other day and it worked well. I never used the drying mask because, well...I didn't need my skin to be any dryer, but I would bet it would work for people with more oily skin.This stuff lasts a while, considering how small the bottles are. Like I said, I've been using this stuff as directed every day for two weeks and I still have 3/4 of the bottles left. I will definitely continue to use this product to maintain my clear skin, and I would definitely recommend it! It isn't one of those products that makes your skin worse before it gets better--It just makes it better!

I love this product. I had been using the dry lotion for a year and feel it really does the trick. I ran out and got impatient with the shipping speeds (when you have a pimple, you don't want to wait 3-5 days for your secret weapon). So I found this set of three and Prime shipping was being offered. I didn't need anything other than the drying lotion but hey, for next day delivery I didn't mind taking them all.While I love love love the drying lotion, the other two are just okay. I can't really tell if they make a difference.The breakdown:Drying lotion- it comes separated in the glass container. The pink stuff is the magic and the clear liquid is alcohol. You are suppose to keep them separated so do not shake them! If you have already shaken it (like I did my first time), worry not. It will go back to separating after a day or so. You take a cotton swab and dip down all the way into the pink stuff. Then apply on pimples. I do it before bed. It has a clay consistency, especially once it dries. But it is not uncomfortable because its being used on minor spots. I use this at night time, after my husband has fallen asleep. Bright white spots all over my face can be pretty amusing for him and ugh... I like to pretend I don't need the beauty products. In the morning, I notice the pimples are visibly smaller and dried up. Basically, its still there but not gross. A couple days later, its gone. Warning: this product does what it says, it dries. So be prepared to have small dry flaky skin where you applied it. I don't mind this. I use exfoliate then use a good moisturizer afterwards. I also recommend using a primer with hydration components in it if I plan on wearing makeup.Buffering lotion- this one is suppose to be shaken before use. The bottle indicates that its meant to be used for those painful pimples. The kind that are under your skin and throb. The liquid inside almost looks like milk. Runny and thin. I drip it onto a cotton swap then apply to the painful spots. It goes on so thinly, I often feel like I didn't use enough. Especially since the others are so thick. In the morning, I do not notice a change in size or redness. What I do notice is that it is no longer painful. Which is a relief. The next night, I follow my plan for drying lotion.Drying Cream- I am still baffled by this one. It comes in a tub of what appears to be think night cream. It feels like a repair cream, meant to be used after the dryness of the drying lotion. I use a cotton swab to apply this on dry patches overnight. It goes on thickly and takes forever to dry. Sometimes, I wake up and find the stuff smeared on my sleeve. Sexy, I know. The next morning, I find that it did make the dry area marginally better. I would still prefer a good moisturizer to solve any dryness issues.Overall, I am happy I bought all three and feel like its given me a solution for my random breakouts.

so, i never had acne in my teenage years and therefore thought i had escaped the hellscape that is having bumps. boy was i wrong! i hit 40 and the universe said "HA! take THAT, sucker!" i not only developed the occasional normal zit breakout, but the under the skin, i'm going to stay for a year if you dont mess with me and if you do well everyone is going to think you pick your face til you have sores" kind of acne. it was awful and, since i didnt deal with this sort of thing in my formative years, i had no clue what to do! My aesthetician did her best and really helped, i tried what folks suggested from the most mild and natural to the harshest otc stuff money can buy. no results. THIS STUFF, though....this is the bee's knees! Twice a day and i finish with exactly what i am supposed to, as well as some serums that rock (not this brand though) for old ladies, and i MIGHT get the pre-period bump here and there (they still like to hide under my skin but dont get anywhere near as bad or ugly as they were previously) but the duration is a third of what it used to be and the bump itself is waaaay smaller. it even heals up in half the time (drying mask/cream/healing powder) and i'm truly impressed! However, if i so much as THINK about not washing my face whether i've worn makeup or not, and i have a problem! but, trick is to just not fall asleep before i wash my face and bada boom, bada bing, acne free sarah! i had so little faith in this that i didnt take a before pic so i wont bother with an after....just know this stuff (for me, anyway,) REALLY works! The body wash has totally taken care of my backne, too! highly recommend
