I have been wrenching on early 70s Honda motorcycles and similar bikes for 40+ years and I've never owned a tool like this. I had read several articles that detailed the differences between JIS and Phillips-head screws, but had mostly ignored the advice I had seen. I did battle with these cross-cut screws using various instruments, such as a manual impact driver, socket bit type drivers and even powered impact drivers. The problem with ALL of these approaches is that I always used a regular Phillips bit. The results would be invariably the same, I would experience some degree of slippage (also called camming) and the screw would be chewed up and not reusable. My solution was to simply replace any JIS screws with socket caps. This would insult and dismay any restoration purists, but I felt justified in doing so - until now. This tool works amazingly well. I just happened to have a 1976 CB750-A (that's 'A', as in automatic transmission) on the lift when this tool arrived. Since I needed to remove the alternator cover anyway, I knew this would be a good test. The supplied #3 JIS bit fit the screws in the cover perfectly. All 9 screws were removed without and damage! The 'T" handle offers a good amount of leverage and it's easy to make sure the bit is square with the screw being removed. You're not completely in the clear with this tool, however, as it is also necessary to ensure the cuts in the screw head are clear of debris or built up corrosion. I learned this the hard way when next attempting to remove the left side transmission cover. The first screw I tried the #3 JIS bit in was choked with foreign matter and the bit cammed out on the very first try. Although the screw was somewhat damaged from this, I was able to clean the cuts in the screw head and re-tried the T handle a second time - success! The tool's 'T' shape also allows the user maximum leverage. All three bit pockets are magnetic and will allow the user to keep all three sizes (#1, #2, & #3) handy for when needed. I'm sure there will be the odd JIS screw on someone's bike that has seemingly welded itself into place and may still be a challenge to remove; but at least with tool, most wrenchers now stand a better chance at success!

Works well on my Japanese bike.
Works great on my Suzuki DL650 V-Strom. I'd always thought folks talking about needing JIS drivers for cross point hardware (instead of phillips) were exaggerating. Well, when I saw and felt how it fits the Japanese hardware I'm now sold. Now if I could only find the replacement bits Motion Pro shows on their website, other than ordering direct, I'd be really happy.

Handy, sturdy, easy to carry.
Works well and is very handy to carry and use instead of multiple separate drivers.

Really well made
Perfect for working on Japanese cars/bikes with JIS cross-head fasteners. The T-handle feels very sturdy and the magnets are a thoughtful touch.

Nice driver for extra leverage
Nice driver for extra leverage. Bits snap snuggly into place. JIS bits have come in very handy. The only downside is that the diameter of the driver is fairly large, so tight spots like small engine cylinder screws or bolts are impossible to reach. Otherwise it is a great tool for cracking tight screws loose without stripping them.

Could have been better.
I was initially disappointed with the Motion Pro T-Handle Bit Driver upon receiving it. The quality of the tool was not as I had expected from Motion Pro. The magnets inside the tool are not very strong and do a poor job of retaining the bits. All so the fitment of the bit into the opening are poor, the opening allows for to much movement of the bit during use, again causing the bit to easily fall out of the tool. The perceived build quality of this tool compared to other Motion Pro tools that I own is a disappointment. Over all though, the t-handle does work as described and the JIS compliant bits work great. Even with the some what poor build quality of the t-handle that I received, I am giving a positive recommendation for this tool, the JIS compliant bits are fantastic.

Its 5 stars in my book
This tool does the trick just fine.No more stripping them unless its just plain not coming out, otherwise even very tight screws come out with ease. For the price these JIS tools go for,I feel this is a very good value.

A high quality tool for under $20
My first Motion Pro tool and I'm highly impressed with the quality. I used it on a partially stripped carburetor bowl screw and it easily removed it. I couldn't get the screw out no matter how much pressure I applied with a standard phillips. It would only cam out and begin to strip the screw. I love the T handle design. This will definitely be going into my tool bag for my bike. What a fantastic tool
