Why are the cups discolored (large black spots ) inside? Does this mean they are not real copper?

The glasses is made out of pure copper without any lacquer coating applied to it. This means the inside will discolor once water reacts with the copper. We wanted to give our customers an authentic copper glasses .

Is this dishwasher safe?

Hmmm the product is really pretty but it stains after use. I have washed and put them in the dishwasher and I was disappointed
