The lighter were all working

I thought this was a new product. It turned out to be used having been opened before packing and with only 46 out of 50 lighters present. Not a disaster but very disappointing

Couple of the lighters didnt have any gas in it

They were good. So far all work. Colours vary.

You turn up the gas half way to get a reliable light on one thumb flick. You should run out of gas which is very volatile well before the flint runs out. Don't have wet hands or the flint won't work. Everyone I have used works. You can always give one to your friends and acquaintances if their lighter is running low or a bit on the blink flint wise to remind them what an easygoing and nice person you are. Could use as a cooker lighter.
