I had an old fashioned round can light that was going to be a pain to change out for an led can light that would cover the old mounting. This was the PERFECT solution!!

This LED is only 1/2 inch thick (projecting from the surface). You do need an octagonal box to mount without a can. I needed light in a low plaster/lath hallway ceiling where a recessed can would not work. I went with this after using a 4 inch square LED and a 6 by 4 foot in a kitchen and liked the effect. Color is adjustable in three steps 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K. This can be done at installation at a switch on the light (what I did) or the switch can be set to be select temperature by flicking the light switch rapidly.

Renovating my kitchen and wanted recessed lighting added. These are perfect as I didn't need to have those large metal recessed lighting cans installed. Beautiful flush mount, and as I had the electrician put the set on a dimmer, very versatile for whatever purposes I have.

Great LED replacement for old bulbous "boob lights". Installs easily. I enjoy the ability to change the color temperature from the light switch. Warm for normal use, bright white for cleaning or detail work. The low profile looks clean and modern. No more changing light bulbs! Cool and energy efficient. About as bright as two 60W incandescent bulbs. I kinda wish they sold a much brighter unit with an included dimmer, but this is just fine for the price.

Put these in the hallway and laundry room and for the size I was worried that they would not be bright enough, well no worries here. These are amazing and I love the clean look, I will be adding these where every I can. Comes with the select-able color temp and socket to screw into a bulb housing. Still building so don't mind the mess or missing trim...

At first, I was skeptical about the amount of light this fixture would give as it is quite small. I was pleasantly surprised! The lighting is great! The only reason I am giving this product 4 stars is because the light setting control buttons are not accessible once the fixture is installed.

Ordered these yesterday morning had them yesterday afternoon. Our house is from the 70's and and the lighting in the kitchen was recessed (2) 3' florescent fixtures. I used the existing J boxes to house the rear components of this fixture. These cannot be surface mounted, you will need about 1.5 inches of space behind the light. These are very bright and we will be buying a few more.

These are hi quality lights and super easy to install. They're switchable for 3 colors and work with a dimmer switch. The retro fit kit it comes with can be a bonus if needed. I have one in both my entry ways and at the bottom of my basement steps. They look sleek, almost not even noticable when off.

Light is very easy to install. I put in a junction box easily. There's also hardware to using a recessed can, which looks like it would work well for that purpose. Light is bright and has a wide beam.But colours USING A LIGHT SWITCH TO CHANGE aren't accurate. You can either use the manual switch to select soft white (3000K), cool white (4000K) or daylight (5000K) OR use a light switch to cycle through them by shutting off/on the light switch quickly. I wanted soft white to match my other lighting and originally used the light switch setting to cycle through the colours. I found the soft white setting not accurate and very close to the cool white setting. If cool white truly was 4000K, then the soft white (using the light switch) was 3800+K.I was set to box it up and return it, but decided to try it with the manual soft white setting and found it was close to 3000K. So something is defective with the light switch cycling. If that is required by you, don't get this light. If you're going to manually set it and leave it, then it's fine.

It's a nice light. It appears high quality. It has two wire springs on the back to pull it tight against drywall, which appears to be the primary mounting option. It also comes with a plug adapter so you can screw it into a standard light bulb socket. Overall it's just simple and clean looking. I'll probably buy another one.
