A Hit with a Nurse!
I did quite a bit of research before buying these and kept seeing them recommended as one of the best pens for healthcare workers. Since my sister-in-law is a nurse, I decided to gift her a pack. She absolutely loves them! According to her, they write smoothly, dry quickly, and are comfortable to use during long shifts when she's constantly taking notes and filling out paperwork. I can't personally speak to daily use since I bought them as a gift, but based on her feedback, these pens definitely lived up to their reputation. A great gift idea for nurses, healthcare workers, or anyone who does a lot of writing.

A good pen, but maybe no longer the best budget pen for me.
This was one of my favorite pens when I was young, but on repurchase, I noticed that it no longer writes well, at least on printer paper, if your hands are sweaty. I'm not sure if this is a quality change that has occurred over a decade, if my sweat composition has changed now that I'm older, if because I have only recently written on printer paper and not notebook paper, or if the way/how long it was stored in the shipping warehouse. I used to love this pen for its relative smoothness, lack of skipping, lack of intensity needed to apply ink to paper, and lack of smearing on both paper and on the hand (making it great for left-handed people), and comfortable grip that lends itself to the whole body -- much of this remains true. However, in addition to difficulty applying ink with oily/sweaty hands, it also appears to skip more than I remember, even on a fresh piece of printer paper, making it difficult to write in very small print due to the skipping and sort of initial force needed to begin ink transfer onto paper. On the other hand, the Pilot Acroball pen has been very good to me, allowing me to write in very small print without skipping and smearing, although long sessions cause my fingers to get sore. I just wish I had found blue and red ink versions for it. I can't comment on the long-session comfort aspect of the Jetstream now, however, because it is too annoying to write small print with it. I currently use the Acroball for writing text and the Jetstream(s) for underlining and annotating a few words in color.

Works well for my arthritic hands. Very lightweight and smooth ink flow. Will buy again!
These write very well without skipping. They are also very lightweight and don't tire your hand when writing for a long period of time. I have arthritis in my hands, and these grip well without hurting. I will buy these again.

Works pretty well for the price yes
These pens for the price can't be beat. They write very good, dry fast and have a great feel. Jetstream works well. Little bulky ,but that's the only negative

Impressed so far
I know these pens are highly reviewed but I've always been a little skeptical. I tend to prefer the smooth way gel pens write and always feel like ballpoints are much less impressive or satisfying to write with. That said there are times/surfaces when ballpoint ink writes better, and the ink tends to last longer than gel and I like to carry one in my bag just in case. I tried a jetstream rt pen a few years ago that I got at a japanese dollar store. I had heard about them on wirecutter and wondered what all the hype was about. It worked fine but was nothing all that special and I kind of dismissed them from then on. These were on sale for black friday and I needed some new ballpoints for my bag so I gave them another try. When I opened the package today and tried it out, I was initially a little underwhelmed. The lines on my first couple letters weren't smooth; it was a typical ballpoint experience for me. But then I kept writing and the ink quickly started to flow like it's supposed to. I was surprised at how smooth it felt and how it glided across the page. The feel was similar to the really satisfying feel of writing with my favorite gel pens and after those first couple of letters the lines have looked really smooth, too. I can't speak to the long-term performance of these yet, but the ink is bold enough and it feels really good to write with, so at this point I'm much more impressed than I expected to be. These feel good enough to write with that I can see myself reaching for it in regular situations, not only in "just-in-case" backup situations. Summary: - Took a couple of penstrokes for it to "warm-up" and lines to become smooth - Tactile feel of writing is very smooth and akin to writing with a gel-pen - Ink is bold and smooth (after that brief initial warm-up) and closer to the bold color of a gel pen than the typical ballpoint - I like it! I'm glad I gave it another chance.

Beautiful to write with.
These are my favourite pens. They are lovely to write with on paper, and also especially good for drawing on fabric, i.e., for drawing around patchwork templates.

The best pens!
The best pens I have ever used! Smooth ink that doesn’t skip and doesn’t smudge. I’m left handed so it’s hard to find pens that perform wonderfully, these are it! Will definitely re-purchase!
