Learning Resources Jumbo Dinosaurs Set 1 | Kids Dinosaur Toys, Large Dinosaur Figures, Figurines for Kids, Toddler Animal Figurines, Dino Bath Toys, Play Dinosaurs

My three year old son loves this set of jumbo dinosaurs, especially the Brachiosaurus which he takes everywhere. He watches the Storybots dinosaur video featuring T-Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and Velociraptor and acts it out with these dinosaurs. The only dinosaur in the Storybots video that isn't in this set is the Apatosaurus, which is part of the Learning Resources Jumbo Dinosaurs Expanded Set 2, Set of 5 that I plan to buy to add to my son's collection. I am very pleased with the quality, and even my husband remarked that they are very well made and would make good gifts. The dinosaurs are made with a sturdy plastic, but they are hollow inside and have a bit of flexibility. They've held up well to several months of play and should continue to do so. The size is perfect both for displaying on a playroom shelf and for little hands to grab onto. The dinosaurs do have seams around their bodies, but I feel that they blend in well. I also have the Learning Resources Jumbo Farm Animals: Mommas and Babies Toy Set, and the seams on that set are a bit more noticeable. Several reviews mention a bad plastic smell with these, and I don't recall anything out of the ordinary when they were new. They definitely do not smell anymore. However, my son received a couple of other dinosaurs made by a different company that still smell horrible after washing them and airing them out for over a week. Those I want to throw out, but the Learning Resources ones are keepers.

These are really awesome dinosaurs! They are just listed as jumbo sized and they didn’t disappoint in size. The longneck is 10 inches tall and a little over 9 inches long. The T-Rex is about 9 inches tall and 9 inches long. The triceratops and Stegosaurus are about 9 inches long too. The raptor is the smallest but still a good size. I also ordered some Boley brand dinosaurs which are still nice, but definitely not as high quality as these. I also really love that these are sized to scale. These are more expensive than some dinosaur packs but they are very high quality, big, and sturdy. I didn’t notice any odor as some others had mentioned. The only thing I’d change about the design would be to include the name of each dino on its belly.

These are the best dinosaurs I've found for a 2 year old in terms of durability, detail, and price. The size is great for little hands and they'll stand up to punishment. They're also not scary for younger dino fans.

My two boys LOVE these dinosaurs. They feel sturdy, and so far have held up to two rowdy boys rough housing with them. They did have an odor when I opened the package, but I just let them air out for a couple days and the odor dissipated fairly quickly. The size is really perfect, small enough to be easily toted around by small hands, but big enough to be a really great toy. You see plastic dinosaurs all the time, they're never this big, the brontosaurus is especially nice with his long neck. There are no sharp edges or bits of plastic to worry about dislodging or scraping little ones. You can see the seam where the bodies were joined, so they aren't one piece, but the ones we received are lined up well and I'm not worried about them ever coming apart, they feel really solidly joined. I'm very pleased with these, my kids love them, and the price was good. They look and feel well made, and I definitely recommend these for any kids who love dinosaurs!

I bought this set after noticing my 3 years old son's interest in the ancient monsters. You can find sets of 10-20 dinosaurs much cheaper than the $21 price tag of this set but they were reviewed as being relatively small, lacking details and/or not being able to stand upright so I went for this one. It has been a month since the purchase and so far it is great. First of all, I have noticed no terrible de-gasing which was the complaint of another reviewer. The plastic smell was hardly noticeable at all. I think smell depends on the time difference between the date of manufacturing and the date of shipment. The plastic is high quality and the texture and details are well preserved. They measure between 9.2 inches (raptor) to around 12.1 inches (brachiosaurus) and the heavier ones weigh 6-8 ounces (estimated) so they are pretty big and heavy. Besides they have been treated in the least gentle way by my son but they have shown no wear and tear at all. The two therapods (those who can stand on two feet) (t-rex and raptor) can stand in good balance thanks to the aid of their tail which is designed to touch the ground too. I have only minimal complaint so far: It would be great if T-rex had been designed in an open mouth roaring fashion. This closed mouth design does not generate the sense of its infamous brutality. The other one is about the color of velociraptor. That dinosaur had been shown to have furs which would be not easy to replicate in the model. However it could at least be modeled as being black instead of the unrelated tiger stripe appearance that is absolutely misleading. In conclusion, This is not the cheapest dinosaur assortment but is likely to be one of the highest quality ones. If you want something that will not only save the day but also last a long time, then go for it, you will not regret.

My son is 18 months old and we gave him these dinosaurs 3 weeks ago and he LOVES them. They are kind of stinky when you first take them out of the package, but after a quick wash and a few days to air out, they don't stink any more. They are pretty durable (but he is only 18 months old, so we will see what the years bring). They are a good size for his age. They are easy for him to handle, no risk of choking and not so big that they are too scary! I am looking to purchase the farm animal set. These are great basic toys that don't run on batteries, are somewhat realistic in their appearance and require his imagination. I see years of fun ahead. Update September 2012 My son is now 3 and a half years old and still pays with these regularly. They look just as good as when we first got them!

My 6 year old is obsessed with dinosaurs and she loved these as a kindergarten graduation present! I was amazed at how huge these are and they are worth the price for the most part. Each dinosaur (brachiosaurus, T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and Velociraptor) is very detailed and they aren't made of cheap hollow plastic. The coloring on them is beautiful and they are so large that even my 6 month old likes to hold them. She wanted to take them into the tub but I advise against that because each dinosaur has a small hole in it and water would easily get trapped in there and you'd never be able to get it all out. I knocked a star off because I didn't like that on most of the dinosaurs, you can clearly see a seam where it was glued together. I'm just hoping that seam doesn't split over time. The size and detailing alone make them worth the price, but if you have a dinosaur fan, these are the perfect gift! It even comes with a booklet that tells facts about each one. Very cool!

My seven year old daughter is loving these dinosaurs! We aired them out for over a week before letting her have them. They are realistic, yet cute without the menacing look of some dinosaurs. They are quite large and perfect for her to have imaginative set ups with colorful silks on her play rug. Mostly, though, they're just nice to look at and a fun way to introduce your child to dinosaurs without breaking the bank on Schleich or Papo toys (which are both amazing toy makers, btw). If you're looking for a "green" dinosaur option that resembles anything once real I'm not positive you'll find it. I looked! I'm not a huge advocate of plastic toys but the occasional splurge for something I know she will play with is worth it to me! Finally, there are some places you can visibly see where the dinosaurs were put together or poured, whatever method is used, you can see the seams in a couple. However, this nothing that a child will notice unless you point it out.

Buy these!!!!! They are fabulous!! My daughter has gotten so much use out of them. They are an awesome large size without being too big. The detail on them is great. We bring them to play outside all the time. I’ve used them with a sheet pan of oats on the deck and my daughter played with them for over an hour, feeding them all and making them stomp around. Highly highly recommend. These would be a fabulous gift!

Son de mala calidad, tienen un olor tóxico. Creo que es un peligro para los pequeños... era un regalo de navidad y mi niño las dejaron en su nueva maleta por la noche. Por la mañana al abrir sentaba muy fuerte y tóxico.

Si plemente bellos!!! Estan de un tamaño excelente tienen muchos detalles tomando en cuenta el precio... En verdad los recomiendo muchisimo... Mi hijo los ama y no los suelta
