Very Pleased
Really pleased with the sandstone lion. It was bigger than I expected and very nicely made. Yes, you can see that it’s resin not stone on close inspection, but I bought it to be seen at a distance in a spot in my garden, and I must say, it looks delightful. Now, it did seem to lean one way, so that the lion isn’t sitting straight up in his base. Not sure if that’s a defect, or if this was originally one of a pair? I fixed it by raking the earth underneath where it was placed to compensate and then placing chunks of sandstone slabs I happened to have on hand around the base. and that fixed the problem. So, I can’t say it is perfect, but it’s a great value for $59, especially since I was able to tweak the base with materials Imhad on hand. Oh, as others have recommended, fill the statue with sand or rocks to give it weight. I did as another reviewer recommended and placed rocks in a plastic bag inside the lion. Seemed neater that way. Also, as some others have pointed out, the round plug you have to remove to fill the lion with sand or rocks, is very difficult to remove. I had to use two long screwdrivers. Even being careful, a few little bits of the edge of the plug broke off, but fortunately did not affect the functionality. I used a rubber mallet to replace the plug. All that said, the lion has a sweet, noble face and was cast from a lovely work of art. I am going to enjoy looking out my window and seeing him reign over the garden season after season.

They look like real stone!
These are great! Although they are poly-resin, you wouldn't know it by looking at them. Neighbors already think they are real stone. Got as a gift for my bf and he loves them! He chose to fill them half-way with water....which you will notice will seep out a bit if you turn them on their side when putting them into position where you want them to be. However, once completely upright they no longer leak and sit really nicely in place. My bf chose to also go and buy a great adhesive that works on all surfaces, including concrete. He purchased it at Home Depot and the color is almost identical to the sand coloring of the statues. He put some on the bottom and let it cure 24 hours, then also put a bead of it around the bottom edge. You don't even notice it's there and now the statues are "permanently" in place! They look great and are also a nice size, for anyone wondering how big they might be. One downfall on Amazon, is many sellers fail to take a photo with the items, so even though they may give sizing, you have no real image of what the item looks like in reality. These fortunately are really nice in size...not too big, not too small. My bf, by the way, put them (I bought a pair for him) on either side of his driveway. These would look nice though in a landscape bed or on both sides of a garage door, etc... I chose the sand coloring because it matched best with his house and driveway. However, I received the granite ones initially and they are just as nice, just different coloration. Don't hesitate to purchase these. The price is reasonable and they look really authentic! :-)

Pretty great
These look great until you’re up close. This is just around the seams because they are obvious. If you sand them down it looks good up close, too. For the price, these are great. Added sand to each one so they are super heavy now. My husband had a hard time getting the caps off the bottom to fill and broke one a little along the edge, but it didn’t really matter, still works.

Great addition to any home!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These lions were the perfect size, and they were on sale for a great price! I purchased 2 to flank my front door. They were easy to paint, and my husband had no problems filling them with sand. I would definitely recommend this product.

Looks like stone
Very light, but just filled with river rock and it isnt going anywhere. Looks as nice as the expensive cement ones. Good price!

Beautiful and elegant!!!!! Love the color too!
These Are more detailed and gorgeous than I anticipated! I put a 10 pound bag of sand in each one easily because they have plugs on the bottom and now are in front of my home on either side of my porch looking elegant and stable. I only wish they were larger. Highly recommend!!

AFFORDABLE TO BUY WHAT YOUV'E BEEN WANTING : ATTRACTIVE LIONS
I have been wanting large lions to sit by the entrance of my home. and; finally I was able to afford them. These are great and very attractive. The sturdiness is by how much sand you put in them. Mine have been in 50 miles an hour winds so far and they did not move an inch I have 60 lbs of sand in each of them.

Great concept. Poor execution.
Craftmanship about the molded edges I can live with, others have suggested methods for removing the edges. Great concept, EMSCO, a light framed sculpture that is fillable. Poor execution: the bottom fill port damn near impossible to open to get sand or weight into the lion, impossible to get out doesn't bode well for replacing it and then standing the lion upright without sand falling out.EMSCO, you can certainly do better. Guardian Lion 2.0?
