Q: will these locks work with a guitar that already has schaller buttons on it?

No, these do not fit Schaller buttons.

Q: How long are the screws? Would they be about the same as ones for strap buttons on an acoustic guitar heel?

I've put these on a couple guitars, both acoustic and electric, and the included screws were similar length to the stock screws. However, it is sometimes possible to use your existing stock screws instead of the ones included depending on the head shape, which I did on some guitars. Ideally, you want to make sure that not only the length is similar, but also the threading and thickness to avoid doing the least amount of damage possible to the existing screw hole.

Q: It says "toolless installation" but doesn't it require a screwdriver to remove and install the new stap button?
