SUPERNIGHT LED Strip Lights Waterproof, RGB Color Changing 16.4ft 300LEDs

I've updated my review after the company contacted me to correct the order (I received the correct product this time). I've used both the Blue and the RGB LED strips from this company. Both are decently solid options, especially for the price. I've purchased a ton of LED strips from different companies, but I decided to try supernight out because they were the cheapest option. The quality of the RGB LEDs are near perfect, and honestly quite impressive for about $10. The solid Blue LED strip I received had a few soldered joints that lowered the quality, but is still a great deal for the price. Overall, these LEDs are a great option for the price and will get the job done. A lot of the negative reviews sound like they are reviewing a $100 product, which you need to remember is not the case with this. I am very pleased with the customer service, they contacted me to make sure I was satisfied and offered to replace my order for free. If you happen to receive the wrong shipment or a defected product, just send them an email. They are very responsive and fair. Some things to note: - These LEDs are water resistant, but they are certainly not water proof. - These do not come with any kind of power source, you need to provide a 12 V source with ample current limiting circuitry. - This is a $10 product, you get what you pay for

Update: seller contacted me and offered free replacement which I obliged. Thank you so much guys, the lights really are fantastic and bright. Outstanding customer service, review reflects product and customer service. Color: 10 Brightness: 10 Adhesive: placement could be better-recommend not placing it on conductive surfaces As the title says: do not stick them to metal. The adhesive strip was not centered perfectly and the copper contacts that you cut across to shorten or lengthen the strips will definitely touch the metal. Not on the ends, right in the middle of the strip. Aside from that, the lights work fantastic and are super bright. I will definitely buy again but i will never put them on a conductive surface again. Attached is a picture of them glowing at night compared to my LED headlights. They're definitely bright!

I originally did not want the water proof LED strips, but I am happy that I got these. I did not use the connectors that came installed on the strip, instead I cut off the connector, but utilized the wires to connect to the controller that I purchased ( Plater® Bluetooth 4.0 LED IQ Controller w/US Plug for 5050/3528 LED Stripes Android & IOS Smart Phones App Controlled Dimmable Multicolor RGB LED Accent Lighting System Kit for Christmas New Year ). In order to install this in all the areas that I wanted to in my kitchen, I had to cut back the water proofing plastic, so that I could install jumpers ( Mudder PCB LED Connector Adapter 4Pin RGB 5050 LED Strip Connectors 10mm Wide (10 Pack) ). This allowed me to use 1 roll of LED lighting for all of the cabinets in my kitchen. I am giving this four stars because when I went to install the first strip of LEDs the double stick tape came off of the LED strip, so now this particular strip tends to come off of the double stick tape that is on the cabinet. Additionally, the wire that is used for the connectors is a very fine gauge, when connecting this to the controller, I was concerned about the wire being too fragile, but I have not had any issues. The LEDs are very bright, and with my controller I have a wide range of color and intensity options. The controller that I originally purchased for this lighting, utilized Red, Green, Blue and Yellow (RGBY) channel outputs. I believed that this resulted in a blue cast to the lighting when attempting to have a white, or warm white color. After ordering and installing a different controller ( XCSOURCE 12V Wireless Bluetooth V4.0 RGB LED Strip Light Controller For iOS Android LD448 ), I realized that the same issue is occurring with just a 3 channel controller (RGB). I surmise that the blue shift is due to the makeup of the LEDs within the strip. The combination of green light and red light from the LED's makes yellowish light, but not at the same intensity as the blue LED, so the blue LED ends up overpowering the yellow light from the Green and Red LED's. My solution for this was to set a orange color on the controller, which produces a more natural white light color (See photos below). Given this I would give this product 3.5 stars, but since we don't have that option I am keeping it at 4 stars.

I keep buying these for my boats. I put them under the seats and dash and they are awesome. I've probably purchased 5 or 6 rolls over the past few years. The first few roles are still working in my boat after 3 years. I've never had a single role of these arrive faulty, every LED lit up when I pulled them out of the package and plugged them in. And they are pretty bright for the price. The only faults are that the waterproof epoxy they put over the strip seems to fade in the sun after a short amount of time (doesn't really affect the performance of the lights though, I can't tell the difference after the epoxy fades). And the other issue is that the peel and stick adhesive strip on the back is just useless. Every role has had a continuous string of "M"s on the wax paper you peel off. You guys didn't use 3M sticky back adhesive, quit trying to fool me with this "M" nonsense. lol. Just buy some LED mounting clips and screw them down instead of using the peel and stick and you'll be happy with these lights, especially for the price.

Before, I had a previous set of SuperNight led strips that unfortunately stopped working after I attempted to make a clean cut down the middle indicator, carefully..but not careful enough the scissors ended up sliding and well...goodbye 600 led strip and $40 including the extra adapter, lights down the drain. Learned a lesson and just enough I could handle at 300 led. It was a battle finding the right strip as a previous order of TaoTronics ended up having ultra violet tones in every color switch as well pink, yellow/orange tones and there was water coming out as I unraveled them. I missed my SuperNight strip, so I bought another one! What I love about these led lights is the smooth transition that is hard for me to find in other lights. It fades nicely and the color shows up accurately on camera or when people walk into my room without seeing the led strip. I recommend these if you are looking for something cheap, but decent quality. I leave my lights on for no more than 45min to and hour, let rest for an hour or two before using again. The leds get very hot if you leave them on for a while and it could be a hazard..as of anything, be careful.

I used these as a light on my fish tank works great and the ability to change the color and brightness is a great option too. I used the white light in the day and the blue lights at night it sure makes the glo fish glow. The only thing I didn't like was my last set lasted about 6 -8 months and quit. I cant say it was all the lights fault as I did cut them and solder wires to them so I could lay them flat but the leds that burnt out were not close to my cuts. The second set I did a bit different I wrapped them around a piece of pvc pipe and mounted in the hood of the tank but on high they did create a bit of heat and the pvc pipe warped causing it to fall into the tank good thing they are water proof. so I only have them on half the brightness but its plenty of light for a 30 gallon tank. I love these lights and will buy them again.

TLDR; Works perfectly. Unroll before use/testing, else they can overheat. The reel came with a male four-wire plug on one end, and a female four-wire plug at the far end. I tested using a bench power supply, which also showed full-on white drawing just under 3A. Single-colors were consistent throughout the strip. When I first opened it, the strip had a slight smell, similar to new foam mattress, which I expect dissipates after a few days. As expected, the strip can be cut at every third light (I'll call this one "unit" == 3 LEDs). For reviewers who think this is "soldered together" scraps.... It's more likely that these are manufactured with ten units (30 LEDs, nine internal cut points) per sub-strip. Each reel is then made up of sub-strips that are soldered together. (so, 10x sub-strips, each with 30 LEDs, for this reel). That makes nine locations with pre-soldered joints in the reel. The same is true for the RGB version I bought from SUPERNIGHT. VERY PLEASED.
