Hi, Alesis support here! Thanks for your question. Yes you can! The Strike Amp 12 features x2 Line level inputs. This can be achieved by connecting your MP3 audio source (i.e phone or tablet) from it's headphone output to 1 of the rear inputs of the Strike Amp 12. If your audio source features a 1/8" headphone output, this can be connected via a 1/8" to 1/4" cable jack cable. Q: Why is the sound so terrible when plugging my phone in to play music? I connected headphone to 1/4” and straight into the speaker and it’s terrible.

You need a 3.5mm stereo male to 1/4" male mono splitter. This splits the stereo signal into left and right channels. You would then send left channel to input 1 and right to input 2. Seriously it works.

Hi, Alesis support here! Thanks for your question. Our Strike Amp 12 features x2 combo XLR/1/4" jack inputs, it's important to note these inputs are mono as oppose to stereo. Your issue relates to phase cancellation, I would suggest using a mono TS cable connection from your phone to the input of your Strike Amp 12. Q: Will this plug into a roland td-17kv?

Yup, Roland has a 1/4 end output, I use the TD-17KVX and it works great and sound quality is amazing. Also I have 2 Alesis 12 amp for maximum sounds
