Are these not just tracksaw/ doghole clamps?

These all fit into a mitred groove cut with a tool that comes with the kit. That means you can set up a workbench for the specific needs of your project if you want to. They can be used in countless ways. I think that makes them more versatile than doghole clamps. They are rather more costly, however. You have to judge how much more you wish to pay for greater versatility.

I only have a 1/4 router Is there a kit for that ?

This kit works for 1/4 and 1/2 routers, you need to buy the router bits separately as they don't come in this kit. Both router sizes cut the same size grove to fit this kit.

Can I order this with metric dovetail hardware

I always buy the same product as i know things will not go wrong. Matchfit MB-025-0514 1/4" shank. But i always buy 1/2" shank which i found, as it is strong and less fibby but i can not find the code. So i hope this will help you . Take care.
