dusty brown games were a mistake
I love adding extra saturation for blues to counter dusty brown games. Color range feels a little shortchanged compaired to the 1080p/144hz/no g-sync monitor I am upgrading from. But I did pay five hundred for that four years ago I believe. This monitor is a great chunk cheaper with better all around specs AND g-sync, except for color. BUT, after playing around with nvidia's system settings I found a setting for vibrance and cranked that up. Got very close to the blues I was looking for. I'll probably keep that old 1080p/144hz screen for brown console games as it's built in color settings can get vibrant blues without any help, but for my main gaming on PC the S2417DG will serve me extremely well.Oh, I was considering getting a 27inch 1440p monitor, but after using this 24inch 1440p I realize I would have been able to see the jagged edges I was trying to move away from just as easy as on my old 1080p/144hz/24inch. I have to strain myself to see jagged edges on the S2417DG. (I am nearsighted, so easier for me to see tiny things)

My Biggest Mistake
...was to not inquire whether the refresh rate was native 144hz. It's actually 60hz. To get to 165hz, you have to overclock it. Sure, it should be simple using the OSD menu. HOWEVER, it does not work! I have tried so many combinations, different DP cables, etc. Whenever I overclocked it, it would restart the monitor and then go to sleep mode, despite having set it to off. I've searched several places in search of an answer. None of those tricks work. This monitor, despite how cheap it is, is not worth the stress. It should just work out of the box as advertised. They should have advertised it as "60hz native/165hz Overclocked!". That should have given me the red flag and would have not bothered with it.

Flex on em
So far it is a very nice monitor and it came very well packaged. It also came quickly. The free antivirus was a huge plus given I bought this with a new computer as well. By default I believe the monitor is set to 60hz but can be changed in the monitors menu (not computer settings) to 165hz. The menu is also great. I have zero complaints. There are also little stickers that say gsync and 3d vision or something like that. Great flex

Awesome monitor
My first 1440p monitor... I'm blown away with how amazing everything looks.(after calibrating the colors) I was going to wait to review this until after I had a chance to play Modern Warfare on it but even after just playing Minecraft for a bit I can tell it's a huge difference with the refresh rate and response time from the 720p monitor I was using before. The mount is extremely versatile as well. Very happy with purchase

One of the cheapest gsync monitors with 1440p
I loved this product. I wanted a 1440p with gsync and most of them cost up to $440. I finally found this which cost only $325. Screen looks great. The colors are vibrant and there are no visible lines between the pixels unless you look really close. Would recommend!

great monitor
great monitor, i’ve had no issues with this at all. coming from a 144hz 1080p monitor, 165hz 1440p is like a night and day difference to me. the bezel is very minimal, and is a very nice looking monitor all around.
