Plaid Craft Clear Acrylic Sealer Aerosol Spray (6-Ounce), CS200307 Matte

I do not believe I am using this the way it is technically intended to, but it works like a charm. I purchased some ceramic vases recently that were improperly glazed and they leak water (water seeps through the clay and soon there's a puddle at the bottom of the vase - basically unusable). I was about to toss them but decided to see if I could rescue them. Bought some Gorilla brand sealant and this one. I sprayed (the interior of the vases), let dry for 24 hours and then filled the vases with water... they no longer leak!! I am so happy that this sealant saved the vases. (FYI the Gorilla brand sealant didn't work) Yes the smell is strong, so just work outside, with gloves and a mask... the smell disappeared completely after drying for 24 hours.

I have been using Plaid products for probably 20 years, they have never disappointed me. I like the clear spray as it does not yellow over time as some other brands have.

I used this spray to improve some of my vintage ceramics. I had some old ceramic Dogs that were just looking terrible. For some ceramics, I did not want a glossy look, so therefore I refrained from a finish that would be glossy. So, I chose this and tested it out. There is not a glossy sheen, it is just enough to improve the appearance of the product. I was pleased that it doesn't appear as if it were re-finished. It looks good. The spray is excellent for my uses.

Needed for a decal work great on most art products

I purchased this to use on pieces of stone block that my mother and I were painting as headstones for our recently passed away furbabies. I applied this product over the acryllic paint on the stones and did so several times after waiting in between coats. I used the product outside and I am glad I did as the odor was almost overwhelming. It did, however, work really well as a sealant and I was very happy with both finished products.

Easy spray and complete coverage. Fast drying time! So easy to use!

I bought this sealer to seal my full lace wigs. I just turn the wigs inside out and spray onto the lace at about 6 inches away. I make sure I put enough but not too much that it would seep onto the hair, then I blow-dry. I do this twice. The only down side is that the smell is very strong, but as soon as I blow-dry the smell disappears. This is good especially if you have an expensive wig that you want to last for years to come. Use as soon as you get the wig and after each wash and you'll be set. I love this product.

I have purchased 3 of these over the past couple years. The first 2 worked great, I would give them 5 stars. The latest purchase does not seem to mix well, no matter how long I shake the can. It sprays in a manner that is not clear, but leaves a grayish discoloration on the original material. That can gets 1 star. Hopefully just a bad can, but test it on something unimportant first.
